Ever since we have landed on the moon, we have grown together as a country, and to learn more about space. Some people might say, "Why would we need an Astronauts Day? It would just waste money"" We can honor soldiers in one day, so why can"t we honor astronauts? Yes. it will be a lot of money, but they are hero"s also and some people feel strongly about the day we landed on the moon. There are many risks in going into space. Something could happen to the time they take off, and to the time they land. These people have put their life on the edge to go into space and land on the moon. Sadly, some have died during this time. They aren"t like soldiers, and only some have died compared to millions, but this is great history and it has changed America from how it is today. Some generations have skipped over learning about Astronauts and why they are a big deal to history. Some people honor them like how people honor soldiers on Veterans Day. Astronauts have made history, and things would have been different if they didn"t go on the moon, or during that time period, or if someone said or did something different.
We do not need an astronauts day because they are already loved for their actions enough. When the Astronauts come home form the Apollo mission and went on parades with the president and confetti and cheering people. We already recognize the achievements of our stellar explorers for granted. We can congratulate the guys enough when we are cheering while we watch NASA TV. America has to many stupid holidays already.
