Kids in elementary/middle schools in Minnesota say they want soccer but non of the school officials will start enough teams for a league. Kids need this sport to let them have more experiences. They can be more active. Most kids that don't play sports are the ones who want soccer. It will help them get active too.
They should not allow soccer as a school sport as they will have to purchase equipment and uniforms which could be used for more useful things such as technology for the school. They also would have to deal with liability costs, and if a child gets injured, they could sue the schools therefore allowing the school to go bankrupt.
Although this is true the kids could do fund raisers to raise the money for the equipment and uniforms so the feel like they are being included in this procedure. Also I agree about the injures but that just means that they should require extra protection like elbow and knee pads.
Most parents will not pay for something they don't think their child will join. If I'm a parent in a school district and they are having a fundraiser for the soccer, and my child cannot do the activity, I will most likely not fund it. Unless there is a large amount of children wanting to, it's a waste of money.
