I think high school students should not wear uniforms, because it restricts their rights. They can make a decision by themselves, also they do not like when somebody requires it.

While freedom of expression is important, there's a time and a place for it. It isn't a violation of rights to require uniforms in schools anymore than it would be to restrict a pornography convention from happening across the street from a kindergarten school. If a school district has problems with discipline, then uniforms can help solve those problem and place student's focus on academics. (http://www.dailymail.co.uk... )

I went to the same school for almost my entire life, then for about a year I transferred to another school and had to wear uniforms. It wasn't such a big deal really.

When I was in 6th grade, about to move from the elementary school building to the jr/sr high school building, one of my teachers started a class debate on this issue.

Reasons for voting decision: Con failed to address Pro's response, and as this was a two-round debate, this was a devastating blow to her position. While I agree with her on principle, I can't award her any points. Forfeiting the second round loses her the Conduct vote and contributes to her losing the Arguments vote, and a lack of sources loses her the Sources vote. No points were awarded on the matter of spelling and grammar because I see no glaring errors in that respect.
