I'm Intrested in debating some History so comment you what you want to debate and lets go from there!

Con

I was challenged to this debate after posting a potential resolution in the comments section, so I will assume that is the resolution we are debating here...

Resolved: The Thirty Years War was primarily a Religious Conflict

Pro: bettabreeder (affirming the resolution)
Con: Romanii (negating the resolution)

I am also assuming that the burden of proof will be shared, meaning we will both be presenting arguments for our side of the resolution in Round 2 and then doing a cross-examination of sorts in Round 3.

There is only one definition I would like to clarify, and that is of the word "primarily", which, as applied to this resolution basically means Pro will be arguing that the Thirty Years War was more of a religious conflict than it was any other type of conflict (i.e. political, economic, social, etc.).

I look forward to Pro's opening arguments!

I would have written my opening arguments anyways, but I'm too busy with a difficult philosophy debate to spend so much time on a debate that you might just FF again...

The U.S. government played a significant role in the creation and perpetuation of the Great Depression.
Or alternatively...
The massive slaughter and oppression of native North Americans by white settlers was unnecessary for the growth of the United States.

WWII could have been prevented, I would be the Pro in the debate.

I would be happy willing to debate the following topic as pro:

Resolved: America was the cause of Pearl Harbor.

Would you be willing to debate whether or not the slaughter and genocide of what may be 100 million natives who lived in the Americas prior to western intervention can be justified. I am con.
