I believe that Hitler was not responsible for his actions has he was insane.Hitler suffered from borderline personality disorder, which manifested its symptoms in numerous ways and would imply Hitler was in full control of himself and his actions. Others have proposed Hitler may have been schizophrenic, based on claims that he was hallucinating and delusional during his last year of life. Many people believe that Hitler had a MENTAL DISORDER and was not schizophrenic nor bipolar, but rather met the criteria for both disorders, and was therefore most likely a schizoaffective. If true, this might be explained by a series of brief reactive psychoses in a narcissistic personality which could not withstand being confronted with reality (in this case, that he was not the "superman" or "savior of Germany" he envisioned himself to be, as his plans and apparent early achievements collapsed about him). Being insane is to be mentally deranged, and since being mentally deranged is to be disordered in the mind.

I thank again my opponent for starting this debate. I believe this is his first debate on debate.org. I welcome him to the site as a friend. Have fun on this site.... :)

Definitions:
Hitler- Adolf Hitler, Leader of the Third Reich, also known as Nazi Germany, an Axis Power during the Second World War.
Insane- mentally deranged
mentally- in or with the mind
deranged- disordered; disarranged (http://dictionary.reference.com......)

Argument:
1.Hitler was not insane.
i think is that he was not insane but let alone a cruel man. He dident get into the art school he wanted to get into and his mom and dad died. He has probably been through a lot of failures in his life, and he took them harshly then others. But since there is no real proof he was insane you could say he was upset or somthing. Maybe he felt very strongly for his country and he decided to stand up for it and do what he believed to be right. Or maybe he was just evil. Now the real question is, if he wasent insane, does that mean that anybody can be that evil? Because he killed the jews and he killed a very big part of the human race, but if he is in fact not insane, then there is some very very bad potental for are world. You have heard about some of the rapist's and bugalers in the world, and their no better from hitler just they havent killed many thousands of people.
But world you better pray hes insane. Because if hes not....then just look at what could happen to us.

The Holocaust was the systematic, bureaucratic, state-sponsored persecution and murder of approximately six million Jews,Gypsies,Mentally Disabled men women and children,Communists,Socialists by the Nazi regime and its collaborators. "Holocaust" is a word of Greek origin meaning "sacrifice by fire." The Nazis, who came to power in Germany in January 1933, believed that Germans were "racially superior" and that the Jews, deemed "inferior," were an alien threat to the so-called German racial community. Hitler believed that these were neccessary for Germany's survival as they were considered enemies and hopeless in the process of germanization. There were a few countries that Germany believed they could Germanize, which included conforming the populations with German names, changing the territories and their province names etc. Hitler is considered today in many countries including Germany to be nothing more than an insane tyrant, even though he had helped Germany through the Great Depression of the 1930s which included helping Germans find suitable jobs, the creation of the autobahn which was a highway connecting several cities easier than a train. They became modern highways. He remilitarized Germany after the destruction of the old Imperial Army and Navy ruled by the deposed Kaiser (Emperor) Wilhelm II. He brought Germany back to a fighting stance in which the West feared and kept Germany from paying the outrages Versailles reperations They had been forced to pay for for the destruction in the Great War, a war Germany hadn't started although participated in. He remilitarized the Rhineland which was a stepping stone which became an uncontrolable threat tothe other western powers. It does seem a little wrong but to the Germans in a poverty-stricken nation it was a first step to bringing Germany back to the world stage. It was seen as a start of hope. For the Germans they thought they would be fine, no more foreign intervention in politics or reperations. Hitler refused to pay anymore and the West did nothing until his invasion of Poland in 1939 but it showed how fearful they were. They didn't want another World War. But through all the light and hope shining on the average German worker, Hitler envoked many unacceptable laws forbiding many Jews to marry Germans or marriages already in effect to divorce. Many German women protested, demanding their Jewish husbands be released. Ironic for Hitler that not all Germans were angry at Jews like he was or blamed them for the loss of the Great War like he did. If you were a Jew in one of the concentration camps you faced all kinds of horrors, some I would dare not say because even you would find it hard to believe such evil things could happen, but they did none the less to all people: men, women, and children of all ages young and old. Hitler as responsible for it all and he knew what was going on. The German people to some extent knew what was going on. When the Allied Powers liberated some of these camps they couldn't believe what they saw. Some soldiers could do nothing but cry in pain to all those innocent people, others dug themselves in amongst the burning cabins, unable to grasp such things. It was human hatred at its most raw. When the War ended many soldiers to it upon themselves to hunt down some of the officers responsible, sometimes without authorization. The thought of Jews being burned alive, stuffed away in box cars, sometimes suffocating to death before even getting to their destination was something that could not go unpunished. How could people be treated so animal-like? To be sent away to die, sometimes in places -30 below with you wearing nothing but a pair of pajama-like clothing and no shoes to protect you from getting frost bite? I hope all of these answers helps you to understand that Hitler knew about all of this and he enjoyed believing his maniacle dreams were coming to life, at the cost of so many innocent people. These are just a few of the many things he did, showing little or no remorse to his actions. It's sad to think about but there are groups out people today, young adults in their early 20s to even older 70-80 year olds called neo-nazis, seeing themselves as the successers to the old nazi party governed by Hitler himself throughout his time in power, who see Hitler as a god-like figure or a great man, many seeing these terrible facts of him as nothing more than lies. They will most often attack people or even murder people considered non-white. They are banned in almost every country, but it still goes on thriving. They shout such nazi cries such as "Sieg Heil"(Hail Victory) or Heil Hitler(Hail Hitler) and at the same time using the old Hitler Salute. In Germany today these are all, with the distribution of the Nazi flag, considered illegal and the person doing so could be imprisoned or fined. There's a quote from Edmund Burke, he was an 18th century political theorist and philospher who was famous for saying, "The only thing neccessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." this greatly applies to Hitler and his insanity. There have been many debates about whether Nazism itself was part of German culture in some way. Was the attitudes and military expansion of the Third Reich part of the old Prussian militarism or was the popularity of Nazism brought on by the harsh of the Great Depression? One explaination cold be found in World War One that lasted for four years. After which Germany signed the terms of surrender, putting herself at the mercy of opposing powers (Central Powers).
My friends, Adolf Hitler was "demon possessed". There is no such thing as "mental illness".

I think that it is clear that Hitler was not insane and should be held responsible for his actions. I ask for your source.

Hitler is responsible for his actions. If it wasn't for him, millions of people would have lived. He is the one responsible for killing those millions of people.

I'd like to debate you, National-whatever.
