 Pro  Con I accept. Rebuttals "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them" (Leviticus 20:13)." First, you do not prove WHY. Second, seeing you are a Christian, you must agree that Christ is the basic foundation of Christianity. Jesus is forgiving and definately would be against this. He does not condemn homosexualty. (1) Contention 1: Jesus on homosexualty Seeing you are a Christian, Jesus does not condemn homosexualty.(1) Even if he did, he would not support the death penalty for this. Contention 2: Seperation of Church and State This is protected by the First Amendment. Contention 3: Why? Seriously, why? They have not violated anyone's rights, so WHY? Reasons for voting decision: In the opening round Pro had me convinced. Such an in depth look at morality and the value of human life. Then we get to CON, who just blows it out of the water and simply destroys all of Pro's claims, providing counter examples and showing Pro's appeal to authority to be out of context. [/sarcasm]
