Atheists love to live under the delusion that they are the guardians of rationality. But how can they hold this title when they cannot even articulate a rational way to know truth from fiction. If they cannot do this, they are literally ignorant and the ignorant cannot guard anything. So, what atheist can give me a rational way atheist know truth from fiction?
Mark119

Pro

First you spelled rationally wrong. Second as an atheist I don't see my self as a "Guardian of Rationality". I see myself as a person who doesn't have enough proof that there is a divine being or divine beings that control what happens in the world. I do believe that the facts that have been presented through science and research allow me to see what is the truth from my perspective and what is fiction from my perspective.

How do you know "science and research" produces "facts"? And you suggesting that something can be true for you and not true for another?

Another atheist fails Epistemology 101. Only a fool would be an atheist, just like God says.
Mark119

Pro

I'm suggesting that research and science, with the exception of theories, produces facts that are indisputable. Whether God is real or not can not be decided through the use of research and facts only through faith.

Yea, you said that already. I ask you how you know this. Do you have an answer?

No answer, eh? I win.

I can only get on a few chances a day. Truth and fiction are subjective. which means that everyone sees truth and fiction differently. What I think is truth and what other people see as truth are two totally different things. Really no one can say exactly what is the truth in the world.

1 points to Pro (S&G). Reasons for voting decision: Pro demonstrates superior spelling and grammar throughout the debate. ViceRegent argues off topic and personally insults. I will be reporting this debate as it is a duplicate debate by ViceRegent.

[*Reason for removal*] This point allocation is insufficiently explained. The voter has to do more than simply say that one side had superior S&G. That's just a restatement of the point allocation.

Vice, why do you believe atheists cannot tell fantasy from reality?

I should get popcorn for this one.

Vice says that atheists cannot tell the difference between fantasy and reality.
Big talk for someone who believes in a magic skydaddy.

Fun watching him try to debate though

Given that you know nothing, my answer would be meaningless to you.

How funny that a dude who admits to knowing no truth makes a truth claim that he sincerely expects me to take seriously. Philosophers call this cognitive dissonance.

No one's world view can enable them to know truth from fiction.

Another atheist admits that his worldview has left him unable to know truth from fiction. How funny.

Heirio, how am I not belng logical? This is me calling your bluff of pretending to be intelligent when you are not.

I bet this dude has no idea what a logical argument looks like.

Why is ViceRegent failing to be logical?
It's actually funny to watch him try.
