you know the drill.

Thanks to Calvincambridge for posting this challenge.

I've seen these contradict myself debates before but I have not spent enough time reading them. So, sorry Pro I do not know the drill. Your first argument is false.

Now if you would like to explain "the drill" we can move on.

Contradict: To assert to the contrary or opposite of(1)

In the resolution Pro states “I will contradict myself”. In rounds two and three I asked him a set of five questions for which he provided contradictory responses. Going by the definition of “contradict”, his assertion that he will contradict himself was not the opposite of what he said, it was exactly what he said he was going to
do so it is not a contradiction.

I meant on the questions which I clearly did.

Con

After reading Pros round 3 answers I realized how boring this was about to get, so I decided to make it somewhat interesting and give my opponent a good chance to win this debate. So I purposely repeated my questions then provided an argument in round 4 just to see if Pro could logically refute it, he basically comes back with a “yes it is” response.

While there is certainly a logical way to refute my argument, I don’t quite feel Pro made it as he never addressed the definition, or my reasoning for why his argument was not a contradiction. If he never made these arguments he should not be given credit for them. But at this point I’ll just leave it up to the voters to decide how they would like to score this one.

If Pro stated his name the second time, he would have had a contradiction.

Double_R, look at Calvincambridge's position (PRO). Therefore, Calvin can easily win.

Reasons for voting decision: I was about to give Pro the points because I did not buy Con's round 4 argument. However, Pro;s response to that argument killed everything. Points to Con.

Reasons for voting decision: This is PRO's second debate where he had a 99.9 chance of beating the contender... but again, screws the opportunity.

Reasons for voting decision: Obviously Pro contradicted himself, but he couldn't even point that out. It is not my job to identify his contradictions. This is a debate and Con provided the only arguments so obviously this should go to Con since Con's arguments are assumed to be correct.
