I believe that there is a correlation between the "Highway to Hell" and the Stairway to Heaven"

They are not just songs! They are beliefs and messages! Think about it; on a highway, you drive real fast, right? Well, it seems to be easy to get lumped in with the "going to hell" category, so therefore, that's why it is a highway. Why isn't there a Highway to Heaven? I mean, it could be alliterative, but the thing is, you can't really get to heaven just by doing one good deed. You have to constantly do them, to climb the stairs of the stairway. I believe that there was a third party involved with these songs, and there is in fact a connection between them.

Oh, and there's also a Long Road to Eden, not to be confused with a Long Road to Ruin.

There is no way that either of the two are related. First of all, if they were created by a third party, they would be released in close proximity to each other. But instead they were released over 2 years from each other.

Also, both songs are not about heaven nor hell. "Highway to Hell" is a song about the brutal US tours that AC/DC would often do. By the time they were done, it had seemed like they had been down a "Highway to Hell." On the other hand, "Stairway to Heaven," which does have an underlying theme of heaven, is not about heaven. It is about a woman who gains a lot of money in her life, but realizes that her life has no meaning, even with all of this money. Heaven comes into play when she decides that she has to make some changes in order to get into heaven.

So, I guess I have to post another argument. Well, let me just reiterate that you can't take a song's title too literally. For example, the Police song, "Every Breath You Take," is often thought to be a love song (and is even played at many weddings), but it is actually about a creepy stalker. Although you can interpret music however you like, the writer did write it for his/her own reasons.

Besides, Led Zeppelin and AC/DC were not satanic. They were just (to an extent) normal guys who liked to write [expletive] awesome songs. Unless you actually ask them in person, it isn't fair to generalize like that.

i was actually thinking about this. it is a weird councidence and the songs do mean things. i am not a religious man but it is easier to get into hell then heaven. getting to hell is like a highway its straight and constant. but getting to heaven is like walking up steps steep and takes more effort. all in all led zeplin and acdc rock

I believe that Both have strong points but if you do break each one down and take in to fact the realization of the case how it has some to do with the title but not in a realistic way.

con is right. simply ridiculous. but that's the beauty of the songs. you can make inferences and ideas just from the titles. lyrics can be widely interpreted either way, which is also often frustrating to the musicians who wrote them. try watching the lyrics next time, dracula.
