Indubitably. I am so bored that I am starting a debate about the topic, and using the word "indubitably". Dare you oppose me?

I do dare to oppose you because you are not bored. This is because you made this debate and you have this account so though you may have been bored before you started debate when you logged on it gave you something to do getting rid of that bored feeling you once had.

Dictionary.com states that the definition of Bored is: To make weary by being dull, repetitive, or tedious.

I know for a fact that you don't feel that this is boring because well for the first obvious reason you wouldn't waste your time on this site if you didn't like to do it and if you like to do it you're not bored.

The second reason is on your profile in your About Me section you said and I quote "I enjoy debating, but I don't actually debate . . . this is just one way to pass the time."

You enjoy debating so I doubt you would be bored on a Debate site and if I'm not mistaken doing something to "pass the time" short for doing something to keep from being bored.

Now my opponent has the burden of proving that he is not bored and just saying so is not enough also I challenge him to find a better definition for passing the time.

This site is a form of entertainment especially if you like debating so you can't be bored and I dare you to challenge that with a plausible argument.

I thank you for daring to oppose me, but I will now prove you wrong now. Note that although I may have something to do, it might not keep me interested. I am indeed somewhat bored right not, but I feel an obligation to respond to your argument. However, you cannot prove that it brings me interest, other than my own word.

I also should take it upon myself to get a new definition of bored. As you may know, "bored" is an adjective. However my opponent's definition treats it as a verb. Thus I will clear the definition up. From dictionary.com:

"bored

adjective
1. tired of the world; "bored with life"; "strolled through the museum with a bored air"
2. uninterested because of frequent exposure or indulgence; "his blase indifference"; "a petulant blase air"; "the bored gaze of the successful film star" [syn: blase]"

Right now I'm feeling rather tired with the world, and I do log on to debate.org alot, so I have frequent exposure to it. This does not necessarily make me like it; nor does it make me interested, rather I feel an obligation to finish what I started.

"You enjoy debating so I doubt you would be bored on a Debate site and if I'm not mistaken doing something to "pass the time" short for doing something to keep from being bored"

Touche, that's actually a really good point (I can't say interesting =P). However, it should be noted that this quote is contradictory. "I enjoy debating" somewhat contradicts "passing the time", as you do not have to enjoy passing the time. I could sit here and read "The Iliad" and be passing the time, but I would certainly not be interested.

"Now my opponent has the burden of proving that he is not bored and just saying so is not enough also I challenge him to find a better definition for passing the time."

Actually, Pro has the burden of proving the resolution: that I, gahbage, am not bored.

Since I cannot find a better definition for passing the time, I'll use this: http://www.urbandictionary.com.... Now while you may say that urban dictionary is not reliable, there is a rating system. At the time of posting, the definition has 6 thumbs up, and no thumbs down. And the definition says it "effectively means to pass the time".

"This site is a form of entertainment especially if you like debating so you can't be bored and I dare you to challenge that with a plausible argument."

True, but being a form of entertainment does not guarantee it to all people. Personally, I find Dane Cook to be humorous. However, you may not find humor in his jokes. He is a source of entertainment, but you may not be entertained by him.

Are you sure you don't want to just start a new debate or something? I wouldn't stick with only 2 arguments.

There's an argument PRO can make that would easily lead to a win.

Oops, that was meant for the Department of Redundancy Department.

Pretty strong offense, PRO, but I'm afraid CON still has the advantage since it will merely take one point to overturn everything you've just said.
