I do not believe "I think therefore I am" is a logically sound statement, the I is already presupposed at the beginning. Anybody care to disagree?

Con

The "I" in "I think therefore I am" is not presupposed. Descartes was a major skeptic, and decided to carefully examine every one of his beliefs, including his belief that he was an independently thinking being. "I think therefore I am" is simply stating that because I can question my own existence, there must be an "I" to do the questioning.
