0. By accepting this debate, my opponent agrees to all the rules already posted.

1. Rules created hold power over all rules posted later, and no later rule can contradict an earlier rule.

2. Both players should still have the ability to post rules in their turn.

3. A violation of a rule that is not null and void will result in the rule-breaker losing this debate. If both players break a rule, the player that breaks a rule first loses.

4. With the exception of the Instigator's first round, a player may only do something besides make rules to discuss whether one has broken a rule, or whether a rule is null, unless a future rule requires otherwise.

5. Not counting these foundation rules, each player can only create 3 rules per turn.

6. Each player must produce 3 rules per round or they forfeit.

7. Rules cannot result in an auto-win. Breaking a rule cannot result in the victory of the rule-breaker. Each player should have an opportunity to not break each rule, and an opportunity to discuss rule-breakage. Rules may not require players to do anything within specific time periods, nor may they require players to do anything outside of this debate.

8. A voter must default all categories to the victor of the debate.

9. All rules are assumed to only apply to future actions and rules.

10. Each player must document his or her rules using the numbers 11-25 for PRO and 26-40 for CON.

--------------------------

11. No rule posted by CON may discriminate between the individuals PRO and CON in any way beyond what may be required by the foundation rules.

12. CON must include one palindrome, one similie, and one biblical allusion in each Round.

13. CON may not use any words not in the dictionary, according to this website:

I want to thank you in advance of what I hope will be an amazingly clever debate.

Sadly, my opponent has already lost the debate in the first round.

Rule #6 states that "each player must produce 3 rules per round or they forfeit." My opponent provided no rules in Round 1. Therefore, my opponent broke a rule, and by Rule #3, loses the debate.

I have repeatedly asked my opponent to post three rules in the Comments section of this debate, so that we may possibly include them in this debate, but after two days, I have received no response.

14. CON must include an even number of each keyboard character in each of his Rounds.

15. CON must post three YouTube videos each Round.

16. CON may not use hyperlinks.

19. CON must post something funny each round.

If chickens cant fly, can they still get the flu?

That was funny. I get it.

20. CON must use three internet memes each round.

21. CON must post one link to one page on TVTropes each round.

22. CON must post the lyrics of one song each round.

Con

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

I don't know who to cite for this.

As someone pointed out in the Comments, I may have created contradictory rules. However, I would like to point out that by Rule #3, the first player to break a rule (in this case, my opponent) loses. There is no rule that allows for a draw. My opponent broke Rule #6 every round, and contradicted most rules that I posted.

23. CON must post cool ASCII art each round.

24. CON must post "I lost the game."

25. CON must post an intention for a rematch in the near future.

First I want to compliment PRO on lovely smelling hair and good fashion sense.

"0. By accepting this debate, my opponent agrees to all the rules already posted."

I interpreted the number zero to mean that the rule was null. Therefore I have ignored rule zero as no rule.

I urge a vote for CON.

Thank you.

how do you post youtube videos on deates again? i forgot how.

Allowing the word "Post" to be framed in this vague way, Con could have posted these videos *to youtube* and then not linked to them. We'd have a devil of a time proving that he didn't post them :p

Its not really an argument, just an opinion. I already conceded.

Greyparrot, I wish you had made that argument earlier. We could have had a wonderful discussion on the validity of starting a list with zero, and I'd cite computer science examples, where 0 is the start. Last-round arguments are looked down upon on this site because they cannot be refuted.

Nope, the rules don't allow for a stalemate.

How can he post a link if he can't post a link? DRAW.

Greyparrot, you need to post rules in the Comments. Otherwise, you lose the debate outright.

Reasons for voting decision: Grey seemed to be breaking the rules as mongeese came up with them, even after he lost the debate in the first round... Ah, Polly, what's next? a cracker? a gem for a ring? a chicken for a wing?
