I am a student of class 8th in on of the leading ICSE school of Kanpur. though our academics are very strong but I found a big exodus of toppers from our school to CBSE as most of them agree upon that CBSE is a better board for competition as well as extra curricular activities. It is said that ICSE is having over burdened syllabus and most of the students dont find time to go for extra curricular which is of equal importance specially when you choose a career in the field of defence, management, civil services etc..!!! I too start feeling the same...!!! whtas your opinion friend.

My opponent has forfeited the round. Still, I give my arguments.

CBSE(a) follows a rule of cce. This system does have some very good ways of developing the mind of a child but if used in the wrong way, it spoils children. CCE gives grades on skills like craft, dance etc... That's fine unless a child is not skilled in such sectors and that leads to bad marks(grades),remarks and subsequently to negative attitudes.

Also, the system of CCE(b) is such that it helps a child to pass the different standards of high-school very easily. This spoils the child and he gets much difficulty when he reaches the higher secondary and even leads to high rates of failure.
