IVF should be supported through the society because it allows those who are unable to to have babies - have babies as they wish.

Con

IVF carries risks such as accidental multiple birth, which is when more than one embryo is transferred to the uterus. It also increases the risk of having premature baby or one with low birth weight, according to babycentre.

Although it can have risks of possible multiple births, IVF has advanced technology and experience so they are able to monitor the embryo so they it's healthy and safe. They are able to prevent long term illnesses and diseases when the embryo is developing because the doctor would be able to eliminate those complications, according to PBS.

IVF carries ethical issues for many people, they might consider that human life begins with the development of embryo. Between 1991 and 2005, over 2 million embryonic lives were lost (Roberts). With that, only 5.1% of all embryos created resulted in a live birth .

IVF has an increasing success rate as the years go by and have an increasing number of people who are using the treatment. IVF has a safety track record, meaning that they are able to prevent various different complications, such as side effects for the women and the child, birth defects, inheritable complications, and other issues that can result to the surgery, such as Ovarian Hyper-stimulation Syndrome or invasive surgery in the Fallopian tubes and the ovaries.
