Some of the basic benefits is that of course, a successful pregnancy happens and a healthy baby is born. Also this helps women with fallopian tube problems have children of their own, this was one of the reasons that IVF was pioneered. Another benefit according to fertilitysolutions.com is that confirmation of fertilisation is an option, and men who have had a vasectomy or have low sperm count can have children that are biologically theirs.

Although a successful pregnancy can occur through the use of IVF technology, its a very small occurrence especially for couples who are already having a hard time conceiving children. According to Web MD the success rate of IVF depends on many different things, but for women who are already infertile its extremely hard to maintain an IVF pregnancy, versus women who have already had children.

For some couples it is possible that the sperm and the egg aren"t interacting in a normal way during IVF this is called a "failed fertilisation" and while it may be devastating for the couple it can clear up questions about why they couldn"t get pregnant before naturally. Once this happens couples are encouraged to go through another IVF cycle, this time being a ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection).

If a couple has a failed IVF treatment, that means that the embryos , were wasted, not only the ones put inside the mother but also the ones fertilized and not used. Many different things can happen to IVF embryos after the process has happened, It is however most times left up to the patient to decide what she would like done to her embryos. http://www.ivf.com... is a website with a IVF patient form where it lists the different things that can happen to the embryos and the one that stuck out the most was the "disposal of frozen embryos in a manner deemed appropriate". Disposing of embryos that didn't get a chance to live seems extremely unfair, especially if the couple goes through a second or third treatment because that's just more and more embryos "being disposed" of.

IVF allows any embryos that are created to be tested for abnormalities before they are transferred into the womb, for example couples that risk having kids with Down Syndrome or Cystic Fibrosis. These cases can be significantly lowered using these screening procedures.

Although knowing if a child has diseases, is a good thing, the technology of IVF creates an environment where parents are able to pick a choose whether or not they want the child they are given. IVF allows not only doctors to play god by allowing unnatural fertilization, but the technology behind it also allows the parents of an unborn baby to play god as well.

Like mentioned above though its seems quite awful to dispose of unborn babies, because once they are fertilized that is exactly ha they are is unborn babies. If the IVF does work after the mother has had the fertilized embryos put back into her body, there is the chance of multiple birth if more the one egg survives when placed back into the uterus. Multiple births is something that doesn't need to occur, since it adds to the overpopulation the world already faces. Just in the past 40 years the population has nearly doubled, without the assistance of IVF (https://www.census.gov...).

Around 24% of Ivf pregnancies are multiple, however in natural births it"s less around 2% as of right now, HEFA has decided that there"s a lower number needed for each woman around 2 or three, some clinics are practicing single embryo transfers, which significantly decreases chances of multiple births, according to one at a time . org.

In my opinion, IVF is a good way to have kid if you are unable to do so naturally, it is safe, efficient, and ethical and legal.

IVF in my opinion is not a suitable option for people who cannot conceive naturally, As stated above, it allows people to play a god deciding who can and cannot have children and it also adds to overpopulation all over the world. IVF is not a for sure thing, it very often fails and people spend thousands of dollars on a procedure that may, but usually doesn't work.

You have many options for these excess embryos such as:
Keeping them for future attempts at pregnancy,Donate them for research, Donate to another couple, Keep them frozen forever, or Thaw and Discard.
You can also perform a disposal ceremony which is where you get to choose what to do with them personally such as a ceremony or a special moment, or have a compassionate transfer which is when they"re put in the body at a time where you can"t become pregnant and the body will take care of it naturally.
