The very definition of sound is "Vibrations transmitted through an elastic solid or a liquid or gas, with frequencies in the approximate range of 20 to 20,000 hertz."[http://www.thefreedictionary.com...] If someone cant here it, it doesnt mean the sound waves dont travel through the air! They still travel, regardless of the surrounding humans.

No, it doesn't make a sound to the person to hear it. Since they do not hear it, it does not make a sound for them to hear. Hearing no sound means that it doesn't make a sound.

Well if you are using no "one" as in no person than a listening device counts, so thats proof I guess.

Does it still make a sound? Ask the NSA.

Who is the burden of proof on? No tree has ever been heard to make a sound when falling in a forest without a person (or recording device) around to hear it.
