If gays could have openly served in WW2, "Saving Private Ryan" would have been 1.37 hours shorter

Resolved: If gay men had been able to serve and fight in WWII, including the landings at Normandy on D-Day, then the movie "Saving Private Ryan" (The one starring Tom Hanks and Matt Damon) would have been 1.37 hours shorter in length to watch.

1.37 hours = 1 hour and 22 minutes
Currently the movie is 2 hours and 49 minutes long

The battle of Omaha at the start of the movie lasts 27 minutes. After the battle, a group of soldiers led by Tom Hanks are tasked to finding Private Ryan, who is played by Matt Damon. If openly gay men were allowed to serve in WWII and in D-Day, then there would have been gay men in Tom Hank's company who are tasked with finding Private Ryan, aka Matt Damon.

If you take away the opening battle scene at Omaha beach on D-Day, the rest of the movie lasts 2 hours and 22 minutes.

We all know fairly well though that there is no way in hell it would take a group of gay guys in France more then an hour to find Matt Damon, also in France.

So when we subtract 1 hour from the movie,
minus the opening battle scene:
we are left with 1 hour and 22 minutes = 1.37 hours.

It can therefore be concluded that Saving Private Ryan would be 1.37 hours shorter if gays had served in WWII because there is no way in hell it would take a group of gay guys in France longer then an hour to find Matt Damon.

1. The battle scene took 27 minutes. However, the rest of the movie was not simply about the mission to save Ryan; some time has to be allowed for the plot to be set up before it. Hence the movie would still be longer than 1.37 hours (which is what Pro has to prove).

2. Even if Pro is right on all counts, there is still no guarantee that homosexuals might have taken less than exactly an hour to find Ryan. He has only proved that they wouldn't take more than an hour.

In conclusion, there is absolutely no way in which Pro has fulfilled his burden. Vote Con.

I know the writer of the movie... I should show him this argument and see what he thinks. XD

Reasons for voting decision: Con took advantage of imabench's poor wording. I'd love to counter RM's vote-bomb but the thing is... he didn't even vote-bomb. I give imabench conduct though because his theory is just f*cking hilarious.

Reasons for voting decision: Con was very convincing that a group of gay people would find Matt Damon much faster than that. Pro should have allowed himself some rebuttal time.
