this is a 60 minute per argument debate, and 1,000 characters. I will start with a few definitions.
1. debate- argument over topic or issue
2. presents- shows or tells; brings up
3. the most- more than the other
4. deserve- rightful
5. win- conquer

this debate, though it ironically is about sources, will have no sources. sources about sources can become very biased, therefore we will keep this without sources.

I would like to let my opponent start this debate now that I have set the boundaries.

I presume that by negating, I'm saying that the person who presents the most sources is not "rightful" to win.

I would like to start by quoting Blackwater.. "this debate, though it ironically is about sources, will have no sources. sources about sources can become very biased, therefore we will keep this without sources."

well, my opponent says that we can't use sources, so he must agree that sources do not automatically mean that you deserve to win.

in certain topics there aren't even any real sources that you can use, for example, does god exist? there is no proof in that. the bible may say so, but that has no proof.

because you present the most sources, does not mean that you deserve to win.

Thanks

"well, my opponent says that we can't use sources, so he must agree that sources do not automatically mean that you deserve to win."

my opponent blatantly assumes that I agreed with him, but how can I agree with him before he even posted anything. anyway, I did not agree with him. I simply wanted to make this debate fair to my opponent, because using sources to say that sources deserve to win makes me seem snobby and convinced that I will win this debate because I presented those sources.

the only other Real argument that my opponent placed was:
"in certain topics there aren't even any real sources that you can use, for example, does god exist? there is no proof in that. the bible may say so, but that has no proof."

a source doesn't need to be fact. a source can be anything from a fact, a theory, a belief, or just random bable about anything. the reason it is a source is because SOMEONE ELSE said it, and someone else agrees with you.

granted, it IS true that a source is something someone else said, but why would somebody deserve to win if they presented an unreliable source. only reliable sources deserve to win, which is not the debate. they debate implies all sources, therefore we must look at all examples.

"my opponent blatantly assumes that I agreed with him"

I'm sorry for this misconstrued message. I wasn't saying you agreed with my directly, just that by not using sources to try to convince people that sources deserve to win, you are in turn showing that you do not deserve to win even if you indeed are correct.

my opponent agrees with me. I don't even have to make that assumption. my opponent directly agreed with me.

"I wasn't saying you agreed with my directly"

need I say more? his whole entire case drops.

extend all my arguments, I am the rightful winner of this debate.

the person who presents the most sources in a debate deserves to win. If I win, then my only source for this debate will be this debate, making me right.

vote for sources!

my opponent said: "extend all my arguments, I am the rightful winner of this debate"

wow, he seems confident in that, the only problem is that he has not proven his case. I dropped all of his points in my last argument. he has no claims left.

all I have to say about his other arguments to my case, which were:

"need I say more? his whole entire case drops."
"my opponent agrees with me. I don't even have to make that assumption. my opponent directly agreed with me."

just read my case again, you will see that I did not agree with him that the person with the most sources deserves to win.
