As pro I believe that religion does more harm than good.

- You cannot refer to any incidences where religion has done bad or good before the 21st century

- If you are quoting from a source then you must use quotation marks (" example ")

- Information cannot be quoted from wikipedia unless it is a definition that has been verified.

- All other basic rules apply (no swearing ; no going off topic etc.)

Round 1 : Acceptance or con can begin his/her argument but forfeit the last round to make it fair

Round 2 : Main points and justifications

Round 3 : Conclusion and contradictions

Religion in the 21st century has definitely done harm than good. There have been vast numbers of extremist groups who are killing people in order to foist their religion onto others and it's certainly not common to see groups kill others at that rate for other personal reasons. it also translates to regular people's lives. People are that narcissistic due to religion that they start to deny gay people the right to marry and others the right to ridicule their religion. Only Religion in the 21st century can make people kill someone for saying something that they don't like and make hundreds of thousands of people support that act. In short Religion poisons everything.
Debate Round No. 1

You have misunderstood your part in this debate. You are con! Therefore you are arguing that religion does more good in society than harm.

I will continue my debate anyway in case con wants to add anything to my argument ... so this technically isn't a debate anymore.

It is fairly obvious that religion does a lot of harm. Looking at Isis we can already see the relationship between harm and religion.
Isis don't only kill innocent individuals - they also kill people working for them! (

And as con has already said there are a huge number of extremist groups in the world. Con is right when he/she says that religion denies people rights and opinions. Gay rights is a huge topic and religion is often the source of these debates.

Some people allow their children to die due to the fact that their religion says that only God can heal a person and forbids them from accepting medical help.

Women are treated like second class citizens and that isn't the end of this list.

I reiterate all my previous arguments.

No one said this was. I referenced the need for "If you are quoting from a source then you must use quotation marks" as a rule.

This isn't plagiarism. Some debate topics get debated more than once. I just wanted to see another perspective on this argument. If you type in any of the topic classified as big issues then you will see a number of debates. Once a debate has been done it is still allowed to be debated again.

Sad day when a debater has to spell out not to plagiarize.
