Due to the great amount of amazing things that defy logic that humans have found in space, I believe we should prioritize all research that goes toward the advancement of interstellar travel.

First off, let me say that I am Pro space exploration so my stance might seem weird.
But I take this stance because we need to focus on things other than interstellar travel.

1) Colonization of other planets
Even if we achieve interstellar travel, I highly doubt that we will be able to colonize other star systems. For the time being, we must focus on building up a backup home somewhere other than Earth. So that if Earth were to face something like a mass extinction event (like a huge asteroid crashing into earth), we may have to evacuate our dear home planet. Therefore colonization of other planets and terraforming them i.e. making them suitable to sustain Earth life should be a far bigger priority than simply going to another star system.

2) Problems on Earth
We have more than enough problems on this planet already, with all the disease, poverty, climate change and whatnot.

Well, your opponent's probably going to end up forfeiting the majority of their rounds. Just make sure you post and you're pretty much good to go.

I did not notice the 10 minuite timeframe per round (Which is extremely stupid, why the heck does this site even have it?!)

Prioritize to what? Should we prioritize it over all spending?

Reasons for voting decision: Pro set the time to post too low, and that ended up not only forcing an uneducational debate where each side was forced to respond quickly, but also led to his forfeiting every round past the first. I'm not sure if this was a mistake on his part, but it ended up ruining what could have been an interesting debate. Arguments and conduct automatically go to Con.
