The United States Invaded this country and dismantled its army are we really going to do the right thing by abounding Iraq and bring back our troops only for the population to tear each other apart?

I'd like to clarify your argument a little bit first before we go on. I believe we should immediately start withdrawing from Iraq in an organized fashion, but with the goal of getting all of our personel out of there. I agree not to leave NOW. I am against the notion that we must remain there to "clean up" the mess we made becasue my main concern here is AMERICAN LIVES.

I don't want to be insensitive to Iraqi's, but based on several doucumentaries on the War in Iraq, it would be doing the Iraqis a favor if our troops left. Many Iraqis hated Saddam but feel that U.S, occupation is worst than him. Our troops dont improve the situation over there anyway so why should we risk more of their lives? We've already lost thousands of U.S. soldiers if you support our troops you would want them out as soon as possible but in an organized fashion.

You talk about "thousands" of American lives lost.... But ever considered the hundreds of thousands of lives that Iraqis have lost. Its no big surprise that United States is there for the long run (Biggest US embassy in the world in Baghdad, Iraq....5-10 year contracts with translation and rebuilding company's... Prime minister Maliki Signing a "pact" with the United States) yes i agree with you about leaving eventually but to bring our troops back in a year or so would be very discouraging to democracy in Iraq and every where else in the world. It would show that the USA had a certain defeat in Iraq in every eye of a Ak-47, RPG wielding Terrorist. It would show that United States cannot support a long war and thus only encourage People like Osama to carry out more attacks on Iraq and abroad. As an Iraqi-American living in the States i truly believe that chaos would engulf Iraq and the rest of the middle east if the United States was to withdraw.

As far as the US and Iraq lives lost--In a larger sense, we can not dedicate -- we can not consecrate -- we can not hallow -- this ground. Damn! I totally forgot about this debate.... srry man. It was definitely interesting to see an Iraqi that is pro-occupation though (I assume your Iraqi by your name).
