America is not a democracy. .The word "democracy" comes to mean a form of government in which the government derives its power from the people and is accountable to them for the use of that power. The United States might accurately be called a democracy. To be honest it isn"t surprising to come up with the conclusion America isn"t a democracy. I believe that many Americans are lead to believe that we are a democracy by saying we are and making us feel like we're involved by taking our votes and making it seem like we have a voice. But when gerrymandering occurs and our voices get deceived. Depending on who side your on it really doesn"t matter to you how gerrymandering is viewed. People that are democrats can be relaxed and say we have a democrat president that is of African American ethnic. For example, democrats in Colorado won"t stand a chance to get their side across because it"s ruled by Republicans. People won"t be able to get their voice out and it"s all in the hands of the politicians.

Alright, but since general consensus is that america is a democracy, you have the burden of proof.

I agree the politics say that our votes count. But when gerrymandering takes place they forget or ignore our votes and continue to favor themselves.

American democracy is dying. Our freedoms are being eliminated with every new law passed with every new tax and acted. Obamacare would be a prime example the government has taken your free choice to buy or not to buy insurance out of your hands. And imposed a fine for not conforming. A democracy No!!! America's becoming a joke.

Reasons for voting decision: FF and tied. Next time Pro write something instead of "......". These dots doesn't mean anything and gives impression even you forfeited. Next time write something like "My arguments stand" due to opponents forfeit or "Extend all arguments".
