Yes, our country decided not to restrict religion. However, it's rules closely followed Christianity. It followed it's rules and morals from the very beginning. Oath in court are said in the Lord's name, popular Christian belief against same-sex marriages led to the law in which only a male and a female may marry, the list truly goes on for quite the while.

Con

Alright, here I go.
- The ideals of America being based on the bible are widely accepted but there def not the basis of America. Again onto my claim about being restricted, they were restricted their entire lives, until they came to America. When the arrived here they learned the ideas of other religions, maybe these other ideas were accepted, but I believe that MANY different types of religions created America and the idea of "America".

3 points to Pro (Arguments). Reasons for voting decision: Geez, another terrible debate. seems like you guys only were in this for another debate to have on your record. Shame on you Pro. You dictated the rules & are very obvious re your intentions. I voted for you, cuz Con had no argument & you provided very little. But, very little is more than zero.

[*Reason for removal*] The voter has to explain arguments within the context of specific arguments made by both sides. This voter references the rules, states that Pro provided very little, but doesn't state how that's sufficient to affirm, nor does he specifically take into account any arguments made by Con (no matter how irrelevant they may be perceived). Even in such a short debate, that is required for a sufficient vote.

Reasons for voting decision: This debate could be more interesting if this has 3 rounds maximum and if both sides elaborated more with sources. There are many pointers that must have source. Example, where did you learn that when European settlers arrived in the New World they learned the ideas of other religions? Does Native Americans have religions (of course)? How did you know if those ideas were accepted? And what are those religions that formed America? Those are some things you must think Con that you should have elaborated in the later rounds if this topic has. For Pro, same-sex marriages has been legal throughout America in Jun. 26, 2015. This is a turn down for you. Very lucky that you have better spelling and grammar, and that's why you are leading by a single point.

Reasons for voting decision: Honestly, this was a rather poor debate, no valid arguments were presented by either said, and non were supported by any sources. This is a tie.
