Call of Duty is a well known game, but there are a lot of games that are better than it. For example: Battlefield.
Cambo799

Con

First battlefields severs have been down for long time. On the other hand cod has had no problems with its servers. Next cod has more play lists, while battlefields only has a few. Cod has the best selling game since 2010 and I can't seem to find battlefield is not to be found on that list. And when it comes to multiplayer, cod fixes long term issues to make the game more balanced. While EA can't even clam battlefield as it's game that's how bad it is.

Later, Misfit 1-3 manages to capture Al-Bashir, who becomes fatally wounded when they cause his escape vehicle to crash. Realizing that he had been betrayed and used, Al-Bashir reveals some of Solomon's plan"to detonate the nukes in Paris and New York City"before succumbing to his wounds.[37][38] Misfit 1 gets a lead on arms dealer Amir Kaffarov, who was working with Solomon and Al-Bashir.[39] They attempt to capture Kaffarov from his villa on the Caspian Sea coast, near the Azerbaijani border. However, they run into a Russian paratrooper battalion, also after Kaffarov, who engage them with airdropped BMP-2s, with Su-25s providing close air support.[40] In the ensuing chaos, Blackburn's squadmates, Campo and Matkovic, are killed in an enemy airstrike.[41][36] Meanwhile, a Spetsnaz team led by Dima assaults Kaffarov's villa. Kaffarov tries to bribe his way out, but Dima interrogates him nonetheless.[42][36] Blackburn arrives at the villa and finds Dima and an unconscious Kaffarov. Dima reveals Solomon's plot to Blackburn, and requests his cooperation to prevent "a war between [their] nations". Meanwhile, Misfit 1's commanding officer Cole arrives, and Blackburn is forced to shoot his superior before he can kill Dima.[43]

During Blackburn's captivity, Dima's Spetsnaz squad attempts to stop the attack in Paris. Dima is unsuccessful; Vladimir dies, while he and Kiril suffer the effects of the nuclear detonation. Meanwhile, the CIA agents do not believe Blackburn's story, since Solomon is a CIA informant, and there is no concrete proof of his involvement in the terrorist attacks. They instead believe that Russia is responsible for the attacks, and that Dima has tricked Blackburn.[44]

Chronologically, the Campaign begins in medias res, following an unidentified man with handcuffs on the run in New York City. Evading police, the man manages to break into a hijacked subway train, full of terrorists and explosive charges. He works his way to the front car, where he is ambushed by Solomon, the man behind the attack.[28] The story then reverts to 8 hours earlier, when Blackburn is being held in detention in Hunters Point, Queens. Insisting that Solomon is planning a terror attack in New York in a few hours, his CIA retainers begin to interrogate him.[29][30][31]

On March 15th, Sgt. Blackburn's squad, Misfit 1-3, attempted to find and safely return a US squad investigating an improvised explosive device in Sulaymaniyah, Iraqi Kurdistan, whose last known position was in territory controlled by the PLR (People's Liberation & Resistance), an Iranian paramilitary insurgent group.[32][29][33] They find the missing squad, which had been ambushed by the PLR; but before they can escape the city, a massive earthquake wrecks the city. Blackburn, fellow squadmate Montes, and other survivors fight their way out of the ruins of the city.[34] On the same day, the PLR stage a coup d'"tat in Iran, and the US subsequently invades.[34][26] Lt. Hawkins takes part in a raid on enemy fighters over Iran and an air strike over Mehrabad Airport. In the aftermath of the air strikes, Misfit 1 was sent into Tehran to perform battle damage assessment and apprehend the leader of the PLR, Faruk Al-Bashir.[26] While investigating an underground bank vault in the target's suspected location, Blackburn and his team learn that the PLR have acquired Russian suitcase nukes, with two of the three devices missing.[35] Being overrun, Misfit requests backup from an M1 Abrams column "Anvil 3", including Sergeant Miller. Miller facilitates Misfit 1's helicopter extraction, but is captured when waiting for the arrival of the Quick Reaction Force. Miller is promptly executed by Solomon and A

Battlefield 3 features the combined arms battles across single-player, co-operative and multiplayer modes. It reintroduces several elements absent from the Bad Company games, including fighter jets, the prone position and 64-player battles on PC.[8][9] To accommodate the lower player count on consoles, the ground area is limited for Xbox 360 and PS3, though fly space remains the same.[10]

During an interview with Game Informer, EA stated that Commander Mode is unlikely to be included,[11] which was met with some criticism on the EA forum.[12] The game features maps set in Paris, Tehran (as well as other locations in Iran), Sulaymaniyah, New York, Wake Island, Oman, Kuwait and other parts of the Persian Gulf. The maps cover urban streets, metropolitan downtown areas, and open landscapes suited to vehicle combat.[13] Battlefield 3 introduces the "Battlelog"; a free cross-platform social service with built-in text messaging, voice communications, game statistics, and the ability to join games that friends are already playing (though both players need to be on the same platform).[14]

Cooperative

A demo featuring the new co-op mode was featured at Gamescom 2011. DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson confirmed that a split screen option will not be available in co-op mode.[15] Battlefield 3's new Battlelog social network, DICE noted, would be tied to all co-op matches, allowing players to try to beat friends' scores and to track their performance.[16] It has also been confirmed that participating in co-op mode allows the player to collect points that unlock additional content that can be used in multiplayer.[17]

Multiplayer

Battlefield 3's multiplayer matches see players take on one of four roles: Assault, Support, Engineer and Recon. The Assault class focuses on assault rifles and healing teammates. The Support class focuses on light machine guns and supplying ammuni

The game's heads-up display (HUD) is much the same, composed of two compact rectangles. The lower left-hand corner features a mini-map and compass for navigation, and a simplified objective notice above it; the lower right includes a compact ammo counter and health meter. The mini-map, as well as the main game screen, shows symbols marking three kinds of entities: blue for allies, green for squadmates, and red/orange for enemies.[8][9][10]

Players can use dual-scoped weapons, including weapons with different firing modes (e.g. single shots, automatic fire). They can "spot" targets"marking their positions to the player's squad"in the single player campaign (a first in the Battlefield franchise) as well as in multiplayer, allowing teammates to either suppress or eliminate them. Bullet-dropping-system has become much more enhanced allowing players to precise their aiming with the environment. In addition, players will have more survival capabilities, such as countering melee attacks from the front while standing or crouching, shooting with their sidearm while swimming, and diving underwater to avoid enemy detection.

Campaign[edit]

The single-player Campaign has several differences from the main Multiplayer component. For the most part, the player must traverse mini-sandbox-style levels, in some cases using vehicles, like tanks and boats, to traverse the environment. As the player character, Recker, the player can use two Campaign-only functions: the Engage command and the tactical visor. The Engage command directs Recker's squadmates, and occasionally other friendly units, to attack any hostiles in Recker's line of sight. The tactical visor is a special binocular-esque gadget that allows the player to identify friendly and enemy units, weapon stashes, explosives, and objectives in the field. By identifying enemies, the player can make them visible without using the visor, making them easier to mark for their teammates. At one point, Recker will briefly lose

Gameplay[edit]

Modern Warfare 3 is a first-person shooter video game much like its predecessors. Activision confirmed at Gamescom 2013, that Modern Warfare 3 for Microsoft Windows has dedicated servers support.[15]

Campaign[edit]

The player assumes the role of various characters during the single player campaign, changing perspectives throughout the progression of the story, which, like its predecessors, is divided into four sets of missions called "Acts". Each mission in an act featuring a series of objectives that are displayed on the heads up display, which marks the direction and distance between such objectives and the player. Damage to the player is shown by the percentage of health HUD shown on the screen. The player's health regenerates over time with shields also helping with regeneration. Mission objectives vary in their requirements, ranging from having the player arrive at a particular checkpoint, to eliminating enemies in a specified location, to standing their ground against enemy squadrons, manning robot mechanoids and other weapons, and planting explosive charges on an enemy installation. Some of these objectives can be failed, and may or may not hinder progression of the story. The player is also accompanied by fellow soldiers who cannot be issued orders.

Cooperative[edit]

Modern Warfare 3 features a new mode, called Survival. This mode allows between one and four players to fight endless waves of enemies, with each wave becoming increasingly difficult. It differs from the Nazi Zombies mode in Call of Duty: World at War, principally in that enemies no longer spawn at fixed locations like the zombies do, but instead appear at tactical positions based on the current location of the player. The mode is available on all multiplayer maps in the game. Players earn in-game cash for items such as weapons, upgrades, ammo, air/ground support and equipment.[16][17] Special Ops also returns from Modern Warfare 2. These challenge missions fea

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is a 2011 first-person shooter video game, developed by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games (Treyarch for the Wii version), with Raven Software having assisted in development and published by Activision.[8] It is the third installment in the Modern Warfare saga, a direct sequel to 2009's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and the eighth Call of Duty installment.

The game was released on November 8, 2011 in North America on Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3,[9] and Wii,[7] with a separate version for Nintendo DS developed by n-Space. In Australia, the Wii version was released on November 23, 2011.[10] In Japan, Square Enix handled the installment with a separate subtitled and dubbed version, as they did for Call of Duty: Black Ops, released November 17, 2011 and December 22, 2011 respectively. Within 24 hours of going on sale, the game sold 6.5 million copies in the U.S. and UK alone and grossed $400 million, making it the biggest entertainment launch of all time,[11][12][13] until it was surpassed by its sequel, Call of Duty: Black Ops II in November 2012 with $500 million. As of November 5, 2013, Modern Warfare 3 has sold 26.5 million copies.[14]

No your wrong.... Battlefield 1942 was released on September 10, 2002, using the Refractor gaming engine, and introduced the "Conquest" gameplay mode, in which players fought for "capture points" throughout the map. Two expansion packs were released, The Road to Rome and Secret Weapons of WWII.

Battlefield Vietnam, released in 2004, moved the setting to the Vietnam War, and was built on a modified Refractor engine with various gameplay improvements, such as firing personal weapons while seated in vehicles.

The 2005 game Battlefield 2 takes place in the modern day, during a fictional war between the United States, China, and the fictional Middle Eastern Coalition (MEC). Despite it requiring numerous software patches due to the large number of bugs and glitches in the game upon its release, it was a commercial success, selling over 2,250,000 copies worldwide, as of July 2006.[52] One expansion pack, Special Forces, and two booster packs, Armored Fury and Euro Force, were also released. A version of the game called Battlefield 2: Modern Combat was released for consoles, with an improved single player mode but more limited online play.

Battlefield 2142 was released in 2006, taking place during a global ice age in the 22nd century. While much of it is graphically similar to Battlefield 2, it introduced a variety of equippable items to unlock and battles between two giant "Titan" airships. Its use of in-game advertising was controversial among players.[53] The Northern Strike booster pack was later released, including new maps, vehicles, and a new game mode.

Battlefield: Bad Company, released in 2008, followed the infamous "B" Company's AWOL escapades and their search for mercenary gold. This new, modern day Battlefield game had modern day weapons, as well as a variety of vehicles for land, air and sea. It had a remarkably realistic destruction system that allowed the player to break, destroy, or create new environments, based on a new next generation gami

Battlefield is obviously better, Do to the fact it is based on more realistic. Also it has better graphics on both consoles in high definition or not. Its more like you have to be a good rusher to take down the enemies. you can have your friends also drive in tanks and air support. [point made]
