I personally believe that death penalty is wrong since the purpose of punishment to learn something from it, so if a kid grows up to murder someone for their wallet or just for fun, and they are in turn put to death, they are taught precisely nothing, because they are no longer alive to learn from it. We cannot rehabilitate a person by killing him or her. It is strange that a nation would denounce the practice of murder by committing the very same act. By doing so, we"re essentially championing the right to life by taking it from others. True"as a whole, we are not murderers, and understandably refuse to be placed in the same category as someone like Ted Bundy. But to many opponents of the death penalty, even Ted Bundy should have been given life without parole. The fact that he murdered at least thirty people"for the mere reason that he enjoyed doing it"has no bearing on the hypocrisy, the flagrant dishonesty, of the declaration that such a person deserves to be killed because he had no right to kill.

So what you are trying that their is no consequence somebodies actions. Well kids need to learn in school that stealing is bad. you are trying to say that their is no consequence. The death penalty is a punishment if somebody like Ted Bundy was to take somebodies life. He deserves death that is stated law in capital punishment. Ted Bundy killed thirty people he was charged with capital punishment. http://www.biography.com...

well sure there should be punishment for every crime that someone does but it doesn't have to be death.By giving them a death penalty they r just thinking that just coz they have killed someone thats why he is being sentenced to death punishment.by giving death penalty u r not giving the criminal a chance to repent on the the sin he has done.

You are saying basically that people should kill each other. They do not learn if let keep killing it must be punishable by death. If they are dead they can not do anything to harm anyone. Then they have learned the consequences for their actions. That is a consequence of taking somebodies life. Capital Punishment.https://www.aclu.org...

where are your sources your simple logic. You must have at least one or two sources. The opinion is valid but you must back it with sources. You do not say I believe in a debate. First you are argument because if we do not eliminate the murders such as Ted Mundy which we did eliminate him. The people like rape, kill ,and mutilate people for fun. Their have some serial killers that have killed ,and raped 100 people or more. Some of those people are Sweeney Todd and some other people. The thing is that to stop these freaks of nature you kill them. The argument of it is that death penalty is right is right to eliminate the common threat of the serial killers that love to watch burn into to ashes ,and to eliminate for the common good so they do not take anyone else.

You're saying that if someone kills someone else just for the fun, they will learn from it? No they won't. They would keep wanting to do it, until eventually (because they weren't sentenced to death) they kill again. I'd say killing one psychopath murder can be killed, if it means saving multiple innocents.
