the benefits outweigh the risks as it could feed millions of people across the world

GMO food is mostly grains. Grains which are fed to cattle. In short, we get delicious burgers and bacon at low cost. Mmmmmmmmm. Go government subsidies. Who wouldn't want cheap and delicious meat? Oh yeah lets not forget our favorite friend High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS). We all know coke is good for your health right?

Btw, I am Con and my opponent is Pro.

I mean we can trust these companies right? Never mind the corporate funding effect. Or the huge amount of government subsidies. Its not like processed red meat like hot dogs and bacon are now classified as carcinogens by the World Health Organization.

"Corn is everywhere in the United States. In fact, the U.S. is the largest producer of corn in the world. Corn is a fixture of U.S. landscapes, food and even industrial chemicals. It's also one of the most heavily modified crops. " howstuffworks.com

In summary we got a nation eating processed red meat and HFCS coca-cola that is government subsidized and GMO. No wonder we are having ever inflated health care costs. Finally we have industry front groups spreading falsehoods. "The world's cattle alone could feed 8.7 billion people" Forks Over Knives documentary film. There is plenty of food to go around.

Studies are inconclusive as to the risk of eating GMOs foods. But risks of cancer due to the glyphosate in Round Up, which the GMO plants were made to be resistant has proved to be cancerous.

It should be noted that there is no evidence that there actually are any risks associated with Genetically Modified foods.

The topic is alright, but the question is super loaded. Your real resolution shouldn't assume any modifiers to be true unless they help define a specific noun you're using (in this case it's not). Just say "Is GM food worth the potential risks?" That's a better one.
