Following standard format, the first round is acceptance of challenge. The debate will concern only the possibility of time travel from a casual perspective. Good luck to whatever Pro that may accept.

Going back in time is possible and plausible. Imagine each moment as a number on a clock. The hands are at the moment we are experiencing. If we can move the hand back or forward, we can successfully travel to a different point in time.

All you have done is provide an analogy to what time travel is.

"If we can move the hand back or forward, we can successfully travel to a different point in time."

The question is how we can go about achieving that. Unfortunately, there is not a giant clock floating out there with hands that we can physically manipulate, as you very well know. The plausibility factor that you mentioned was not explained.

How could you go back in time? It would entail reversing the age process of every individual around you. Also, with months and years, how could you back to september 2005? Reverse the world's orbit around the sun a few billion times? Even with those two things time would still theoretically be moving forward.

Therefore, in my opinion, time travel is impossible.

There is too a clock out there in space.
