In a Nation where 60% of the population is still employed in agriculture. Do we really need to Industrialize at such a large pace.
Lesser quintile ratios shows the level of disparities existing in the society.

industry does not depend on agriculture. it depends on infrastructure. india has infrastructure. india has cheap and qualified labor. it has plenty of land too. so i don't think it will not be an industrial economy.

besides india is self sufficient on food due to its agricultural economy and she is not gonna loose the position.

What about the quintile ratio that is just mentioned, Increasing Disparity is something we don't expect in a health Economy.
So, it's not just about the food sufficiency but also the condition of the work force employed in that sector.

disparity between rich and poor also exist in industrial nation like america.

http://online.wsj.com...

http://www.pewresearch.org...

so it does not matter wheather there is gap between rich and poor, to measure industriability of a nation.

on condition of workforce:

they are well educated, well trained and cheap. so india is a perfect country for industrialization.

I don't say poverty can be totally eliminated from a Country, But Why to compare it with USA, they are 180 years ahead of us and India people lack even the basic amenities.

Why not have both?Let freedom ring.Just do not make the mistakes America did. Let government get so big that it stifles all aspects of the economy.
