The first round is acceptance. Acceptance to Jesus. Or something ridiculous like that.

Aight', let's start.
Intel has more experience than AMD, since they have been in the industry longer, Intel (1968), AMD (1969), and have more sales than AMD in the technological markets: Intel (58.256 million as of December the first) and AMD (54.4 million).
Intel is also more of a well known brand name than AMD, being used more than AMD by companies.
But the reason i made this debate ironically wasn't to debate. I wanted to make a point in addition to debating, which is why this round will be uncharacteristic of me. It's impossible to tell which one is better. This debate was entirely opinion based, not on my side however. I just wanted to use this as an experiment. It worked.

Interesting points in the comments. I don't prefer either, although i want to. I can't find the right CPU single core for me. I'm running on a medium(ly) undated laptop, so i'm planning for a better one.

I use AMD because its multicore capabilities far outweigh Intel chipsets. Intel demolishes AMD on single core performance cores though raising the question - A lot of weak cores working well together or a lot of strong cores that can't work together as well. With the coming age of multicore rendering I personally chose AMD. (NOTE this is a rule of thumb and gets shakey up on the higher priced cpu's).

I believe that intel is better. Even though AMD has a CPU and a GPU combined in one, both the CPU and the GPU suck. This is why intel is better.
