That's the format

Jesus is not a zombie. He doesn't go around eating brains and he isn't stuck on this Earth. He didn't raise from the dead like zombies. He was more like a spirit than a physical human.
Debate Round No. 1

Yes, Jesus did come back from the dead, and is clearly stated in the Bible. And zombies don't always go around eating brains. Zombies are dead that come back to life, and I would call someone who was clinically confirmed dead but live a zombie. Also a spirit is the non-physical part of a person, and I emphasize part.

Debate Round No. 2

As one of the comments stated, I have to prove Jesus ate flesh and had no rational thought. Jesus didn't eat flesh, I get it. But you do have to admit "Symbolically eating his flesh and drinking his blood" to accept him is very...very 'symbolically' cannibalistic. And the no rational thought,
based on or in accordance with reason or logic.
"I'm sure there's a perfectly rational explanation"
(This is the only non-math definition)
Zombies can have rational thought, if one wants to get in somewhere they break a door or window open. They don't have enough thought process to turn the knob, but a certain scenario does. Nanobots

Jesus is not a zombie. He's a lich.

He came back from the dead just like a zombie does.

I think this pretty much comes down to whether or not you're a Christian.

If you're a Christian, then Jesus wasn't a zombie, because that would be disrespectful.

If you're not a Christian, then Jesus was a zombie, because come on, that's hilarious!

Oh and I forgot to mention:

This entire debate hinges on the assumption that the Bible is a reliable source.

First you have to define 'zombie'. Pro has not done so.

noun: zombie; plural noun: zombies
a corpse said to be revived by witchcraft, especially in certain African and Caribbean religions.
(in popular fiction) a person or reanimated corpse that has been turned into a creature capable of movement but not of rational thought, which feeds on human flesh.
"a world overrun by zombies""

So all con has to do is prove that Jesus did not do any one of the following:

1. Be revived through witchcraft.
2. Be a person.
3. Be previously dead and then reanimated.
4. Be capable of movement.
5. Be incapable of rational thought.
6. Be prone to feeding on human flesh.

1. You could argue that God's revival of Jesus was witchcraft.
2. Jesus was in fact a human.
3. He was crucified then rose from the dead.
4. He was able to move.

The next two provide problems. Pro must prove that Jesus:

5. Was incapable of rational thought.
6. Ate flesh.

You can try pro, but I think con has won this one.
