Yes because of this comment. "Chancho, I need to borrow some sweats." Choncho in Spanish, means Pig, which is appropriate for the fat, little, Mexican orphan.

Thank you, haydenme, for instigating this debate. Since my opponent has opened the debate with an argument, I think that it is only fair that I am also allowed to open with an argument.

Affirmative Case

Premise: Grounds for my victory

I win should I show my opponent's movie:

1) Not affirmed as the funniest movie ever

2) As less funny to an alternate movie

A1: Life of Brian is a funnier movie

Monty Python's Life of Brian (1979) is a generally funnier movie. My opponent's single line from Nacho Libre is not enough to stand in the presence of some great scenes (not just one line) in Life of Brian. The Youtube videos I have linked should be watched and compared to the merely one line that apparently makes Nacho Libre the "funniest movie ever".

Also, note the IMDB rating differences in the movies: Life of Brian 8.2 (with a meta score of 75) [1] and Nacho Libre 5.7 (with a meta score of 52)[2]. If Nacho Libre was the funniest movie "ever", would it not be rated higher than a less funny comedy film, given that the two films are in the comedy genre?

A2: How do you evaluate for "the funniest movie ever?"

If my above argument is not bought, then how can movies be compared in terms of being "funny?" What unit of measurement is being used? You see, an underlying problem with my opponent's argument is that "funny" is not at all easy to measure, in fact my opponent has yet to justify his/her evaluation of being funnier. Furthermore, my opponent is yet to explain how the comment is funny. Why is it funny if Choncho means pig in Spanish and is being applied to a "fat, little, Mexican orphan?" There is no explanation as to why this is funny.

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct - Con. Pro forfeited multiple rounds in the debate. S&G - Con. Even in the one round Pro did argue in, the grammar was awful, such as the lack of a comma after "yes" or the period that separated the quote from the author of the quote. Arguments - Con. Con was able to build a case around objective standards for what is the funniest movie ever and showed that Nacho Libre met none of those standards via the ratings it received. Sources - Con. Pro failed to utilize sources in this debate whereas Con did.
