Welcome to the geeky debate. Here are the rules:

DON'T BE MEAN. We're over whether Nintendo will fail or not, but please don't include things in your argument that are mean to me.

BE PATIENT. If one of us forfeits, don't include another argument, Instead, post a recipe for cookies or something like that.

THE ARGUMENT STARTS IN THE 2ND ROUND. Ready? OK, let's go.

I believe that they are doomed to an extent.

They are slowly becoming less relevant. Back in the 80s and 90s, Nintendo was the most profitable gaming company in the world. They got too cocky with the overwhelming popularity of the Wii, that they decided to stay in the casual market. After the GameCube, Nintendo left the market for older players. The Wii U turned out to be a horrible flop for them, selling less units than the PS4 or Xbox One, despite being available for a year before. The Wii U failed due to a combination of being difficult to develop for, weak hardware, and lack of games at launch, among other things. Nintendo is different from the other console manufacturers in that, most of the popular games for their consoles are made by them. Sony and Microsoft have software studios, but they are not the only companies producing for their respective platforms. They have many other developers making most of their consoles' games. Nowadays, you basically buy a Nintendo to play Nintendo. This lack of third party and AAA support is one of the reasons that Nintendo is losing popularity among older players.

That being said, I do still believe that Nintendo will always have their place. They are still very popular among younger players, and have a fairly robust handheld market. I can see them leaving the home console market, but they will probably stick around in the handheld market for some time. So, In conclusion, I believe they will lose some of their popularity in the gaming world, but will still stick around.

Look here, I got an interesting story to tell you guys. I remember one of those childhood days, where you wake up and get straight to gaming. Well right after I woke up, I grabbed the Nintendo Gameboy Advance from my pocket, and got straight to Pokemon. Those were the days man...... back when I could play Pokemon all morning and beat a few gym leaders and train my guys up. Nowadays I look back on the past and my mates sometimes bring it up how we had link battles and all that. Bonfires are fun and all, but the satisfaction of beating my mates in a Pokemon battle is hard to top.
