Yes, all star cheerleading should be a sport. It has it's competitions (there's even a few competitions that you have to get a bid to go to; you can't just sign up), there's points. If something is easy, it gets less points. If something is difficult, it gets more points. If you were to drop a stunt, you would loose half a point. If you were to fail or fall on your tumbling, it would also impact your points in a negative way. We even have uniforms, just like all the other sports. And cheerleaders have to lift about 50 pounds above their heads, and the flyer has to flip around in their hands without falling!!

I accept. Since you made your first arguments in Round 1, I will do the same.

Arguments:

Contention 1:

Your use of the word "should" points to how cheerleading is not a sport; it shows an obligation, but not actuallity. [1]

Contention 2:
Based of of your reasoning, the military should also be a sport:

"It has it's competitions"
So does the military; their competitions are these neat little things called "wars".

"there's points."
There are also points in the military. For instance: knives and bayonets have points, bullets have points, artillery shells have points

"If something is easy, it gets less points. If something is difficult, it gets more points."
It is the same for the military. The easier an op, the less bullets (and points) there are; the harder an op, the more "points", or bullets, there are.

"If you were to drop a stunt, you would loose half a point."
The miliary is sort of like this: If you drop a grenade, you lose half a leg.

"If you were to fail or fall on your tumbling, it would also impact your points in a negative way."
In the military, if you fail or fall while fighting, you would also be impacted by "points" in a negative way.

"We even have uniforms, just like all the other sports."
The military does not have a uniform; it has three uniforms.

"And cheerleaders have to lift about 50 pounds above their heads"
The grunts in the Army and the Marine Corps carry 100 pounds on their back, 20 pounds in their vest, 50 pounds of gear, and 15 in their hands.

"and the flyer has to flip around in their hands without falling!!"
In the military, the flyers (referred to as "pilots") have to manuever a 20,000 pound fixed-winged aircraft at 1,000 miles per hour while making 8G turns and trying to maintian consciousness, while focusing on a living, thinking, intelligent enemy. They all do this without falling.

Disregard any forfeiture by me or my opponent. I was gone for Spring Break, and was unable to post, and I would imagine the same for my opponent.

Okay, this comment is not ment to be offensive, just persuasive. Cheerleading is not a sport. Simply said in my opinion its just not. Its based on opinion. 1 judge can say amazing, a different judge can say horrible. Yes, cheerleading does take lots of work, and abilitys, but its not a sport. Its an activity.

Reasons for voting decision: All Pro's arguments were refuted by Con, whose analogy on military being a sport was both effective and hilarious. Con used the only sources.
