What are they?are they exist?what is their meaning?how are they created and arranged?
There is no absolute life in the world it is only what we make, what we think, what we want and what we accept as a real fact BUT are the facts true?are the imaginations false?how we say that this is false and that one is true?see, nothing has meaning by it's own.it is only our brain that means everything for it self.

Thank you, BITW, for instigating this thought-provoking debate.

To clarify the resolution, my opponent is trying to affirm that: Things with objective meaning do not exist in the world [...] "see, nothing has meaning by it's own.it is only our brain that means everything for it self." In other words, our brain is what gives meaning; nothing exists objectively.

These are my opening arguments. They are sufficient to negate the resolution, but I will elaborate in later rounds where required.

Negative Case

A1: A is A

Drawing upon Ayn Rand's enlightened Objectivist theory, a triangle is always a triangle. No matter how much it is wished that the triangle is a square, it will never be so. The triangle cannot, by form, ever have 4 sides, regardless of what meaning is attributed to it. But do not take my word for it. Try it. Try to draw the 4 sided triangle, and you will see the limitations of the *real* world prevent you from doing so.

A triangle is always a triangle; A is always A [2].

A2: I think, therefore I am

Rene Descartes devised an ingenious way in which to prove objective meaning. Even if there is nothing else in the world, to conjure thoughts, there must exist our mind, elsewise there would be nothing to conjure thoughts! The mere fact that we can think that there is no objective/real meaning to the universe, proves that our mind exists, thereby creating the objective/real meaning that our minds exist [3].

Counter-arguments

"There is no absolute life in the world it is only what we make,"

This statement is internally contradictory, for is there are no absolutes, then the fact there are no absolutes is an absolute itself. By this conception alone, not only is Pro's argument negated, but the resolution is shown to never be able to be affirmed.

"what we think, what we want and what we accept as a real fact BUT are the facts true?"

A fact, by definition, is true [1]. So the question "are the facts true?" is answered within the question itself. Whether we have found a fact is another question.

"are the imaginations false?"

Our imaginations could be false and there could be real meaning (outside of our minds) to the world, so this point is irrelevant to the resolution.

"how we say that this is false and that one is true?see, nothing has meaning by it's own.it is only our brain that means everything for it self."

Addressed under A1 and A2.

It's common for people to go through this type of existential crisis, wherein they question everything. It's part of building an identity. I'm glad you're enjoying the interaction =)
