Let's consider apathy as a state of being (temporal or not) where an individual has no or very little emotional response towards stimuli from the perceptible world. That does not necessarily mean that this individual doesn't engage in activities or comprehend the world as it seems to be.

And about inner peace, most of us believe it's a state in which your mind is in a beneficial calmness, which is helpful to improve the quality of our thoughts and decision making. Makes it look like inner peace is a way to look at our emotions from "above".

Are these two concepts the same?

P.S: This is a neutral start. Even if it says I'm "Pro/For" I'll take the contrary position of my opponent, so you can chose to be Pro or Con or just express your opinion regardless of position.

Depends on the person. I find peace in interest, which is the opposite of apathy, but it varies from person to person.
