Atlantis was real, for why would the atlantic ocean be called that?
Reformist

Con

https://en.m.wikipedia.org...

There is no evidence for the city of Atlantis

Throughout many years of searching the seas there has been no evidence of the underwater city of atlantis

Also the reason why the Atlantic ocean is called that is dated back to the Greek name of "sea of atlas"

So you have no reasonable arguement and the one fact you did have was refuted

Link is up top. Some glitch won't allow me to post under my arguement

Reasons for voting decision: Why indeed! Atlantis was named the "Island of Atlas" in the "Sea of Atlas" by Plato, who was Greek. The island was named for it's location in the already-named ocean, not the other way around. So half credit for the answer. But I cannot do that. 3 points for Gryffindor for actually arguing something.

Reasons for voting decision: Con negates Pro's argument by saying that it is a Greek word. This is the only argument Pro makes, thus Con wins.
