today the world is becoming more competitive than ever. unlike before, today competition is merely seen as a race, where you HAVE to win. today the values that competition provided, like humility in victory, not backing down during defeat etc. are being lost. competition in today's world is seen as the most important thing, and people do things that do not abide by the spirit of competition. So no, competition is becoming more cutthroat than ever, thus it isn't good.

Is Competition good?
Absolutely.

Firstly it is natural, we see in nature that animals compete for resources such as food, water, mates, and even territory.
Secondly consider this, two individuals want to devote all of their energies towards being the best brain surgeon in the world.
it is inevitable that the two will compete for this goal and does that make their goal any less noble or their drive for that goal?

Secondly consider the Space Race.
Both the Soviet Union and The United States believed their ideology and technology was superior.
Therefore they competed for breakthroughs in Space Exploration in which drove massive progress in the field.
It was competition and it moved history forward.

Is today specifically brutal in competition? No
This is not the Royal Courts of the feudal and imperial systems where your competitions with the others aires could often mean
a violent death for you and those close to you. Nor are we on the brink of Global Nuclear Winter.

So I ask all of you to consider the following

-Human History has been driven forward by competition of individuals, classes, ideologies, academic theories, and nations.
-Competitive behaviour can be found by any amateur observer of the natural environment.
-What evidence is there that History is no longer driven forward by competition?
-What is fundamentally wrong with this?
-Why cannot cooperation and competition be equally as beneficial depending on the situation?

Thanks for reading.
