Con

Consent to pregnancy is exactly what is sounds like it means. Consent means permission. If you consent to something, you are giving permission for it. Everyone knows what consent is. Ys or no: Is consent to sex consent to pregnancy?

Fact: Consent to sex is not consent to pregnancy.

No, I meant if anyone had any opinions on the logical syllogism I put forward. I wasn't asking for your over-arching opinion on contraception. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

Consent to sex is not consent to pregnancy. This is my body. If I want to use contraception, I have that right.

A logical syllogism:
Sex is consented to.
Sex leads to pregnancy.
Therefore, consenting to sex means consenting to pregnancy.

I disagree. Consent to sex is not consent to pregnancy. Women have the right to use contraception.

A responsible adult must know that pregnancy and childbirth is a possible consequence of the act itself, therefore attempting to prevent it. Childbirth and pregnancy aren't something you can consent to, because it's out of your power. All you can do is try to prevent it.

Not necessarily but you have to understand that that is a risk.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro doesn't play Con's game. A girl voluntarily opens her legs and if she gets pregnant she must give birth to the baby-- a concept which Con evidently opposes. Pro was suppose to argue for it arguments which Con would then knock down. But Pro doesn't participate forfeiting several rounds. Pro gets the conduct point but I can't give any for better argument as Pro doesn't really offer any
