Which education system is better, Education system in America or Education system in East Asia?

American education concept is given priority to students, and pay attention to the students' interest in specialty into full play. In America, students have equal status with teachers in class, they can argue with the teacher at any time, so they can analyze and solve problems independently. In East Asia, the teacher used to explain the knowledge points seriously, and students listening silently, they have little communication during the class.

East Asia became now a base of the world's best primary and secondary schools. They produce students who can outperform not only in East Asia but also in the west world. Most of teenage students in East Asia, particularly in South Korea, Hong Kong and Japan, are be able to perform maths and reading at levels that are 2 or 3 years ahead of those of the same age students in United States. They have relatively high graduation rates compare to the America. By producing the higher levels of education and qualified teachers, East Asia provides the students the better ways of starting the better life. As you argued, American Education might provide the education based on the students' interest by providing lots of school activities, such as sports and other clubs, but still they have relatively low graduation rates compare to the East Asia and 66 percent of those who did not graduate the high school do not have a jobs. The relationship between teachers and students are much closer in United States, however because of that closer relationship, lots of teachers, especially teachers in public school, have lost their dignity.

Interest is the best teacher. Stimulating students' interest in learning and mobilizing students' initiative is an important means to promote teaching. There are a lot of students in Asia don't study at all, not only because the teacher are strict, but also because they are not interested. The task of the excellent teacher is to stimulate students to unusual effort. But it's not like Asia's teacher who only force students to study, and make students full of pressure. I do believe that is one reason why our international students choose to come to the United States.

That doesn't mean that students in United States study because they are interested in. Most of students in public school, especially when they are in countryside or even in the bigger city, do not care about their grades nor their futures. Even though the rate of gradation rates are getting higher, and reached 74% in America, still there are lots of students do not graduate and also 5.1 million of students who graduated the high school did not go to the further education institution. Like you said, there are lots of international students in United States. However, most of them chose to go to the private school which has pretty different school policy compare to those in public school. We are talking about the overall education system in United States, not only those of the private institutions. It is one of the problems of Education system in United States, the students have the unequal access to the education. The quality of educations between by private institution and those by public institution has huge gap. Most of schools that provides the high educations in United States are private school and those schools are mostly out of reach for poorer students who cannot afford tuition.

I believe there is not too much difference between the private school and the public school. In general, the United States' education system is better than East Asia's. Even some students do not graduate from school, they already have a clear choice for their future career. Education in East Asia is less focus on individual learning interests and hobbies. Students study for study, study for work. Then they get lost in the learning process, and produce the weariness. There is lots of students suicide because of this. But in United States, schools provide students variety of different courses to select. So students can choose courses based on their future career. Education must follow the principle of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude. But East Asia never really did.

I disagreed with what you said about there is not much difference between private institutions and public institution in United States. Did you know that not many public school provides the AP courses or the Honors courses like private school do? Some public school do not have any AP courses system in their school. The Dropout rates in public school is also way higher than those in Private school. On the other hands, the high school in East Asia provides the high education in both private and public institution. Private institution do not offer different courses like some private school in United States does such as AP and Honor programs. Also, the Asian students who want to perform the sports and other clubs, they can join the clubs outside of school. In United States, especially good college, like Ivy league, requires students to have a lots of extra curriculum such as club activities and sports. I think it is another way of giving pressure to the students.

We are not argue about the education system difference between the public school and private school. And I do believe more and more public school are providing AP courses. Today, we are in the quality education age. Teaching aims of school education is to educate the students with all-round development. That is why most college requires students have extra activities. And that is also a good way for students to release stress after school instead of giving pressure. The East Asia's school pay most attention to teaching knowledge. And in order to finish the homework, most students don't have time to perform any sports or other clubs. Instead, they have to take extra private class after school. So most time, East Asia students are studying.

Okay, this it my last arguments. Yes, we were not talking about the difference between public and private educational institutions, however, I wanted to point it out because it is one of the biggest problems that American education has. You probably don't know how is private school education system in America, since you've never experienced it, but the levels of education in public school and private school have a pretty huge gap. Overall, as a person who experienced east Asian education, public school in Idaho and private school in Rhode Island, I believe that all of the educations have pros and cons. American Education allows students to express themselves freely than education in East Asia. They also give lots of options to students so they can experience lots of things. However, because they have too loose education system, there are lots of American who believe that high school education in America is not that helpful, so that lots of students drop out of the school. And they ended up not getting the job and enrolling in the welfare system. Also, according to the records, American school has the higher and more intense school violence, mostly happen in public institution, including bullying, gun violence in school property and violence against faculty members. I think it happens because of the relationship between faculty and students are too close in America, the faculty member lost their dignity to control their own students. I believe that there should be some boundary between students and faculty so that faculty will have enough dignity to control students to avoid the chaos. I agreed that It is important to let student decide what they want, but I think American Education gave too much of the freedom so that failed to provide the high education system. There are lots of teenager out there in America, who cannot solve or calculate the simple math problems or have a hard time to understand the simple context from books. Unlike United States, the East Asia provide the higher level of education to students so that Asian students well exceed the American students with reading, writing and math level. It might be challenging to the East Asian students, since they do not have lots of freedom like American students do. But if they tolerate all the hard works and do their best, in the future their hard work will pay off with the valuable jobs. And also, the rate of the high school graduated students who go to the further educational institution is much higher in East Asia than America. I think it is one of the evidence that East Asia education system guides its students to the higher level of the education better than American education system does.

I will say owing to the present exam-oriented education system in East Asia, the majority of children are too heavily burdened with studies to learn about society, the real world outside their family and school. And the most outstanding personnel are graduated from the United States first-class universities. Which education system is better depends on students can acquire more knowledge in a comfortable atmosphere or not. The East Asia's education system does hart lots of students because its overly strict and rigid. They try to turn students head into "computer". Suppose I ask a student in China where he would like to study, China or the United States, nearly 80 percent chance that he would say The United States. Another reason is the American Education system is transparent, and less corruption.

It's hard to determine which education system is better. They all have their own advantage. Like they said: American education concept is given priority to students, and pay attention to the students' interest in specialty into full play. In America, students have equal status with teachers in class, they can argue with the teacher at any time, so they can analyze and solve problems independently. East Asia became now a base of the world's best primary and secondary schools. They produce students who can outperform not only in East Asia but also in the west world.
