Equal pay should not exist. If someone does not put in the effort to work, they should not get paid as much as the person who worked their butt off. Let's say there are two people: Yolanda and Jared. Yolanda and Jared are both janitors. If Yolanda cleans 75% of a building and Jared cleans only 25%, Yolanda should be paid more, because she did more work and worked harder.

I'm not sure that PedroRodrigez understands exactly what equal pay is, which is usually talked about as equal pay between two people, say, a man and a woman, who perform near identical jobs and do the same amount of work, but the woman will get paid less due them being a woman, a form of discrimination. What they seem to be talking about is that two people should not get paid the same amount if they perform uneven amounts of work. However, in most cases if they are assigned to do equal amounts of work and someone is not doing their share, they will be fired.

What exactly do you mean by "equal pay"? Two or more people who are working in the same position being paid the same amount for having the same duties and responsibilities to perform?
