I think family is more important. We work for our family, to be able to enjoy life with the family, to pay the spending family.

Work and the act of working takes precedence over family. You work to benefit yourself and those around you through means of hard, time consuming labor. The end being benefit to yourself in knowledge or materialistic means that better your overall situation. Bettering your situation is the first way to begin to not only enjoy life more, but also be able to help your family (friends, colleagues, etc...) and spend more time with them. Work is established in a way that gives benefit to those that work, so working hard earlier in life makes it so you have more freedom in the future. Which eliminates the need to choose between family or work, because you would never need to place yourself in a decision to choose between the two.
