Feminists claim to fight for equal rights for both sexes, but is this accurate? I think not, as by virtue of the name being based on a single gender, the movement has inherent bias in the favor of women over men. The true term for someone who supports absolute equality is an egalitarian.
Second, feminism makes claims to support its cause that are completely false, an cannot be proven. The most common of these is that women make 77 cents for every dollar a man makes. This may be true in terms of gross income for all men and women working full time, however this data does not include the career path chosen, hours worked, or benefits provided. This makes me come to the conclusion that this argument is invalid and downright misleading.
Third, feminists states that there is inherent inequality between men and women. However, according to U.S. law, gender does not justify discrimination and discrimination on the basis of gender is illegal in America.
Fourth, there are inherent differences between each gender from a working perspective. For instance, men do not need paternity leave, while it is almost a requirement for women who want to start a family. Men also tend to work longer hours than women, which also helps account for the supposed wage gap.
Fifth and finally, women are given the advantage in many areas of life. In cases of child support and custody, the man only gets custody 16% of the time, and usually still winds up paying a large sum of child support.
To conclude, there remains inequality between the genders, but women have advantages that men do not, and this evens out the playing field to the point that I believe the existence of feminism has become nothing more than a drain on society, blown far out of proportion and perpetuated by people who no longer move towards the goal of equality, but towards the special treatment of women.

The egalitarianism of gender is an age-old issue that has captured public"s attention for a long time. From the very beginning of feminism movement, the very essence of the campaign was to fight for the rights of women and to eradicate discrimination.
There is no doubt that women were at a disadvantageous position compared with man when we are looking back. Women strived so long for at least a hundred years to gain the right to vote. Women struggled so hard to gain the right to work. In pursuit of happiness, women had a limited choice to choose a good husband. In order to compete with others, they need to be pretty and attractive to win the favor of man. The rest of their life would be pretty miserable if they choose the wrong guy. Numerous cases show that women didn"t have a say in divorce even they continuously suffer from domestic violence.
We may wonder, right now, movement seemingly have achieved in protecting women with legal rights. And yes, according to the U.S. Law, men and women are treated equally and discrimination on the basis of gender is illegal. However, women cannot hide themselves under the protection of U.S. law in every aspect of their lives. When we are resorting to the law, that means social injustice already has occurred. It is beyond doubt that women are at a disadvantageous position.
First of all, paucity of women in high-profile positions state the fact that it is hard for a woman to be a leader. Women make up less than 20 percent of Congress.
Secondly, women are given less promotion opportunity. Men are dominant in most of prestigious areas like doctor lawyer and in financial sectors. A poll conducted recently has shown people tend to believe men should get preference when facing the opportunity of promotion.
Thirdly, girls seem to have limited choice of choosing a major. Girl who are equally competent still choose not to enter science or engineering field. Lately a professor has been publicly criticized for excoriating his student and making bad remarks about women. However, this sign shows there is preference when picking a researcher.
The fourth, there are a lot of sexual assault cases. Women are accused of excessive exposure. It is extremely strange that women are to be blamed in this case. Speaking of numerous sexual assaults in the military, the government try their best to cover.
The last but not the least, there are many other places. Women are treated so poorly. In those areas, girls make an overwhelming proportion of high death rate of infant baby. When noticing the child in her belly is a girl, the family secretly choose abortion.
To conclude, feminism is indeed about to gain equal rights. When faced with such disadvantageous conditions, we have no choice to claim special treatment.

In response to your first point, while women do make up only one fifth of the U.S. Congress, nothing is stopping them from pursuing a career in this field, and thus the fact that there is such a limited number of women in politics is nothing more than a coincidence based on the career choices of a majority of women.
Second, I would like to ask for a citation of this fact as if this is true this is illegal, as women are guaranteed by law the right to be free of gender bias in the workplace.
Third, this is blatantly false. Women can enter any field of research that a man can, and the school cannot deny her this based on the fact that she is female.
Fourth, I will partially cede this point, but I move to say that despite societies reaction, women still win the majority of sexual assault cases.
Fifth, Once again there are areas of the world where women are treated poorly, but this does not happen anywhere in the civilized world. On another note, you have no right to claim special treatment on behalf of women that are being mistreated half a world away.
Your conclusion takes your argument in two separate directions. Is feminism about equality or special treatment?
If the former, then why do I not hear women complaining that they get custody in a divorce case 84 percent of the time, or that in cases of rape allegations they are believed over the man the majority of the time. If the latter, then Feminism isn't really about equality is it?

First of all, I want to make it clear that I am a man. I am speaking not on behalf of women neither of man because I am not intended to take a biased side on this topic. Recently I felt pressure from the society"s prejudice on the women. Indeed, not only women, but also men will suffer from the latent discrimination on women. For example, it has been a non-spoken tradition for a man to provide a house when people get married in many areas. The society tend to believe man is supposed to provide for the family. Meanwhile, women will get the custody in many cases because people tend to believe women have greater capacity in raising a child.
The fundamental goal of feminism is by all means to achieve equality between opposite sexes. The destination is to build a world where people will not be judged by their gender. True feminists have such an ideal dream that women and man can be treated equally not only by man but also by women themselves. But this is too hard. To eradicate discrimination may be easy, to reshape the stereotype will be a painstaking process. Because those stereotype have been formed so long ago and deeply rooted in many people"s mind.
Speaking of the stereotype, it may not be apparent and easily diagnosed in our life. However, stereotype hide itself in wide-spreading ideas and can be sensed in daily habit or social conventions. For example, in a highly civilized modern world, women are not publicly treated poorly. On the contrary, it is will be daily seen case that a gentlemen give his seat to a lady on the bus. A decent man is supposed to show enough courtesy when encountering a woman. We are raised and well-educated this way since we all are little kids. Some of those things are unnecessary and redundant, but why on earth we are doing these? The very idea that women are as vulnerable groups as children in our society has resided in our mind. Those chivalrous behaviors will make gentleman proud and women flattered. In short, this kind of boon may be used as a compensating pittance as women are in a disadvantageous position in the patriarchy.
As this world is marching towards a higher civilized stage, the stereotype will be continuously under the cover of many theories. Among them are "social-practice theory" and so-called "biological-distinctions" theory. By saying social practice theory, I mean people tend to believe it is social practice for a woman to nurture and raised a child. Women"s jobs are circumscribed to house-keeping cooking the meal doing the laundry and other domestic trivial things a housewife supposed to do. When you mentioned the coincidence based on the choices made by women, I feel a strong feeling of sadness coming up from the bottom of my heart. If you look at the low percentage of women in every distinguished jobs on every aspect, you may agree this is not a coincidence but a certainty. Male hold primary power. Women have no choice but to stay at home. By saying biological-distinctions theory, I mean people hold the idea that it is biological difference that attribute the social division of work. People tend to believe that men are smarter than women and have more strength than women. So some bombast idiot may trumpet that men should dominate the world.
We may repelled the disgusting idea that women are more or less of a displaying object of beauty. However this idea still prevails in many people"s mind. Donald trump"s remarks on women are the prefect reflections of the higher society. Those words are just outspoken. Such ideas are originated in the feudalism and slavery. And this idea still has its influence. We judge a man on his achievements while we have expectations on women to be beautiful and elegant. If a girl is born beautiful then she is blessed otherwise she may not find a good husband. It irritate me when I been told by my peers that women"s happiness largely depend on her marriage while men still have other ways (working hard) to achieve happiness.

To conclude, feminism is a subject worth intensive discussion. The ostensible goal is to achieve equal rights while the underlying meanings are more profound for us to dig. To eliminate the social discrimination, or to put it in a more delicate precise expression, to expunge the stereotype of gender is what feminism really struggling to achieve.

Feminism is 100% biased. Now, equal right, as in, they want the same legal status as men, but as far as it is concerned, that is not the purpose of the movement. It is meant to further a political gain to get a grab on the Presidency. To rob people of their money through taxes, and to show how one side is superior than the other. Going to Darwinism: Survival of the fittest.
