Should the government stop GMO? I strongly suggest that Genetically Modified Food should not be provided to people nor animals. GMF should not be produced its causes cancer and and nine times out of ten most people are allergic to most ingredient's in some food and they don't know that the chips they are buying has been reproduced with something else , the government is starting to put label's on wrapper's and to let you know that your beverages contain GMO.
Hello people wake up we have to know what we are buying and consuming.

"GMF should not be produced its causes cancer"

There is absolutely no evidence that is true whatsoever, and the one report that says that is true has since been debunked: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov...

"nine times out of ten most people are allergic to most ingredient's in some food"

Not only does that sound stupidly false and isn't supported by any evidence at all, but the statement itself says this is true of just regular food, not that its something unique to GM food in particular.....

" the government is starting to put label's on wrapper's and to let you know that your beverages contain GMO."

And thats a problem because why exactly?

=======================================================================================

GM foods are already widespread in the US, to the point that its borderline impossible to NOT have something made with GM's, and GM foods have already proved to be instrumental into fighting world hunger.

http://en.wikipedia.org...

Norman Borlaug was one of the first people to really experiment with genetically modified crops, and his work contributed to new strains of wheat that to this day have been credited with saving over a BILLION people in Mexico, India, and Pakistan back in the 1970's. (See link above)

GM foods have already proved their valuable worth, and hold great potential for helping to fight world hunger. If you have a better idea of what should be used to fight it con, then by all means go ahead and speak up.

Reasons for voting decision: Needless to say, Pro dominates this debate. Con makes several assertions that are blatantly wrong (often delving into the absolutely absurd), which Pro counters well both with evidence and warrants. The forfeits just sealed the deal.
