In order to have a well running country, freedom of speech is not necessarily mandatory. But to have freedom of speech is crucial to make sure that people will not only feel free, but also be able to express your opinion. of course, freedom of speech is only to a certain extent, because you still shouldn't be able to affect the rights of others. I currently live in a country with the absence of the right to freedom of speech, and there are things that I feel like need to be spoken out to the public. I am currently stuck with passive aggressively stating my opinion with the government who probably knows what I am saying. It is definitely important for me to say what I want with no worries at all.

3 points to Pro (Arguments). Reasons for voting decision: Pro was the only one who made an argument, so arguments to Pro by default.

[*Reason for non-removal*] Given that Con basically just forfeited the debate, the RFD is sufficient so long as the voter awards more points to Pro. With regards to the report, yes, Pro did clearly make arguments in the debate, even if they were solely assertions.
