I would like to think it's a possibility, but I wouldn't say It will happen either. Lesotho lacks natural resources, and the people are desperately poor. Plus, almost a 1/3 of the population is infected with HIV. I'm not saying that Lesotho won't achieve economic prosperity as a fact, but I do believe that it will take an incredibly long time before the country's economy can put up fierce competition with South Africa, and that it will take an even longer time for the country to gain any global recognition, because of its economy. Again, I'm not saying that the country's inability gain any prosperity is inevitable, but rather, it will be quite some time before it can become a world player. I'd say life several decades, or maybe even a century or two.

My opponent says that Lesotho will not become a "world player" centuries from now. A nation does not have to be a world player to be economically stable, also Lesotho is a very young nation and as such it will take time for it to develop. In America we were not economically secured right away. So therefore stating that Lesotho cannot become economically stable would be a logical fallacy

My opponent has forefeited his turn so therefore I shall expand upon my point seeing as how Lesotho is currently a small comonwealth we must take this factor into consideratio when dealing with economic stability
