1. Love is an emotion, one which conveys strong feelings of attraction towards another person.

2. Love is very complex, and many people have difficulty determining whether they are in love or not.

3. People often break up with a partner and start dating a new one. Sometimes those people still have romantic feelings for their original partner. This does not mean that those people do not love their new partner.

4. No human has a set amount of emotions that they can give. Just because someone loves somebody, does not mean that they do not have more love to give to another.

5. there have most likely been plenty of people who have loved more than one person. However the way this is viewed by society has made these people keep those thoughts of romantic love for someone other than their original partner hidden.

6. There are several religions at one point or another that have allowed polygamy. It would seem that these religions thought it was definitely possible to love more than one person.

7. Therefore,on the grounds that love is such a complex emotion, and that every person has a near infinite amount to give. Along with the claim that there are most likely people who have loved more than one person at the same time. It must be possible to romantically love more than one person.

Non Controversial statements- 1,2,6. Point 1 is just a definition of love. Point 2 is just an explanation that love is complex, something that people tend to agree with. Point 6 is just talking about various religions that allowed for polygamy to be a practice.

Controversial statements- 3,4,5. Point 3 can be argued, if you feel that the person dating someone new does not truly love their old partner. Point 4 can be argued if you think there is a set amount of emotions that a human can give. 5 claims that there are people who have romantic feelings for more than one, but for one reason or another they keep them hidden; that can be argued if you do not think these people exist.

1.Yes, I agree that love is an emotion, which one conveys strong feelings of attraction towards another person.

2.I also agree

3.I disagree because it may not be romantic feelings that the person is feeling and may just be a physical attachment to them and you cannot prove between two presumed lovers.

4.I disagree with this premise because a person has a set amount of emotions that one can give because romantic love cannot be given equally between more than one person as the society states.

5.I disagree with this because saying there are plenty of people who have love more than one person and society makes them keep it hidden since the people that are considered to have existed may be confused with the thoughts of romantic love.

6.I agree

7.On the account that, love is an emotion that one has strong feelings of attraction towards another person, romantic love is something that cannot be shared equally between people. Therefore, it is not possible to romantically love more than one person at once.

Non-Controversial: 1,2,6. 1 is a definition of love, 2. Is stating that it is very complex and many people have a difficult time whether they are in love or not. Premise 6 states that certain religions that seem possible to have loved more than one person.

Controversial: 3,4,5. Premise 3 can be argued that a person may not be having romantic feelings and might have physical attachment to the person. Premise 4 can be argued that there is not a set amount of emotions a person can give to another. Premise 5 can be argued based on the one may think that a person can exist that claims they romantically love more than one person.
