Is meditation a religious activity or not? Could it be taught in schools without violating the concept of the separation of church and state?

I will accept the meditation is not a religious concept and can be taught at schools.

Well since no arguments, I'm going to present one simple argument of my own. Meditation while apart of many religions is not inherently religious. You don't need a God/gods to focus and relax.

meditating is meditating. You can do it in a religious or non religious context.

Meditating should only be counted as a religious activity if you are doing it with religious intent. If you are just doing it to clear your mind and to help you concentrate, I think it could be taught in schools to help with standardized testing.

Meditating is a religious activity. Therefore because schools are not allowed to be forcing religion onto the students, schools should not be allowed to teach it.
