I would say it is addicting because of the amount of troops and the neverending lists of mods that is sure to keep you busy for weeks by end. Also, I like the fighting style. The only thing I don't like is that when you die, the battle ends. Luckily, some mods fixes that problem

PRO has the BOP to prove warband is always addicting.

== There are issues with Warband ==

(1) Khergits are annoying: They are all horse archer noobs who are too afraid to fight you 1v1. I used to like warband, but the dumb archers always kill you before you can enter a fun melee.
(2) Rage: It makes me rage when I die. I AM BEST NA AND WHOEVER KILLS ME IS A NOOB. I am not addicted due to this reason.
(3) Horsemen should be banned: they are often just as bad as archers. All they do is press X and you die. Not very fun to be a horseman because it is too easy, and it isn't fun to play because horsemen are wayyyy too op
(4) Ratings: Generally, an addicting game would have 4 stars. Yet the majority of users rate it 3-4 stars--its good, but not addicting [1].
(5) Usership stats: Most people who played the game either have only 'tried it', gotten halfway, or 'played it'. The majority of addicted people--the conquered or beaten it categories--is a small minority [1].
(6) Play time: Videogame addiction is where the game consumes your life [2]. Yet, the average play time is only 76 hours [1]. Not enough to consume your life--thus, it is not, on aggregate, addicting.

Warband is addicting and fun. Ok, fine, you die, but that doesn't mean you lose everything. Also, you mentioned that 4 stars means addicting and that many people rated it 3-4!!! stars. Of course, the other thing is if you do get bored or get tired of dying, why not go and get a mod or two, small or big, it can effect single and multiplayer. Wouldn't it be better if you could dismember a guy or kill Frodo from LOTR! :)

My opponent argues warband *can* be addicting but he has to prove that it *is*. I have shown that, on aggregate for most people, it is not addicting. Thus, the resolution is negated. When I get "addicted" to a game, I would rate it 5 stars, but it averages around 3 or 4. It is a good game, but not addicting. Actual user hours is also below what would be considered addicting.

Resolution negated. Pro has not fulfilled his BOP

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct - Con. Pro forfeited multiple rounds which is rarely acceptable in any debate setting. S&G - Con. Pro had a few grammatical errors with using plural form instead of singular, Pro also had a few punctuation errors. I saw no such errors from Con. Arguments - Con. Pro failed to prove that warband *is* addicting, and instead just built a case (perhaps unknowingly) that it *can* be addicting. There is a big difference between those two terms though and since Pro failed to uphold the BOP given for the former, it's clear that Con wins. Sources - Con. Pro did not utilize any sources whatsoever whereas Con did.
