I want to say that the reason I created this debate was to inform and also see from another person's point of view on this.

We all know that some tragic things have happened not that long ago. 9/11 for example. A terrorist attack right? About 3,000 people died in that attack. But if we think back years and years ago, Didn't we bomb Afghanistan and kill more than 15,000 innocent people? Yeah it was because of the weapons of mass destruction that weren't found. And the terrorists that were never found either. What did our government say about it? Easy. They said sorry. So are other countries the terrorists or are we?

A government can't be a terrorist. Only people can be terrorists.

That doesn't mean the government can't be behind it. The government has people obviously and they control what our military does. They say jump they ask how high. The United States Government is a terrorist. We Americans refuse to see it but it is obvious.

Sorry, but that's not what we are arguing about. We're debating whether or not our government is a terrorist. Which it can't.

Technically a terrorist can have other people do the dirty work so that is what we are arguing about. The government keeps secrets from us, they kill innocent people for no known reason, and they stick their noses in other peoples business and make a war out of it. The government is just terrorists that have other people do the work for them. Want examples of what we think are terrorists that have others do their work?

1. Mohammed Atef - Killed by a missile hitting his home.
2. Osama bin Laden - Killed by U.S Navy Seals breaking into a mansion and shooting him repeatedly.
3. Fahid Mohammed Ally Msalam - Killed by the United States bombing his home town. (Killing around 150 innocent people)
4. Anas al-Liby - Was captured by our government and they let him suffer a liver disease until he died.

Our Government may not be the ones doing the jobs themselves but they are the ones sending others to do it for them. Americans refuse to see it that way. Everyone wonders why Muslims and other races are immigrating here. We have less military walking out streets then they do in Pakistan, India, Korea, and other smaller countries. Our government is terrorists whether we choose to accept it or not.

Thank you for the debate. I expect to lose because people refuse to accept things they don't like or understand. Anyone that wants to put there input or go against me feel free to challenge me. Again thank you for the debate.

I understand what you are trying to argue, but that is not the resolution. The government ITSELF is not a terrorist. It can be made of terrorists, but it can't be a terrorist. Government is a concept, not a person. Only people can be terrorists.

The government is what runs our country. Not just one person we have branches of government. The Government is a terrorist compared to other countries and what we consider terrorists.

"weapons of mass destruction that weren't found"

Wasn't that Iraq? Also your resolution seems to suggest you're arguing the government is just one terrorist. Like "the government" refers to one person.
