Based upon Sue Palmer's Toxic Childhood, the precious time of childhood is becoming shorter due to the exposure of children to the internet.

I'll first admit I may be in a bit over my head as I have not read Sue Palmer's Toxic Childhood. I was able to find a few websites that spoke about the book and it had some ideas I thought would be present in the actual book.

On the webpage Culturewars.org Wendy Earle spoke of the book and summarized it as
http://www.culturewars.org.uk...

"Palmer's central argument is that, while adults are benefiting enormously from living in a wealthier, healthier society where electronic technologies have enriched our lives, children are suffering because their childhood experiences are being polluted by the range of technologies and lifestyle choices offered by the modern world. "

This is a common argument I hear from people of previous generations. Before we begin would you say you believe childhood is becoming shorter due to the quote I provided above or something similar? I ask just to have some general grounds for the debate as I have not read the book.
